Brown color with a umber hue when held to the light. Moderate, mostly lasting, dry bone colored head and nice lacing. Toasty malt and dark caramel aromas. A solid bock aroma. Full body, but still rather zippy carbonation. Light sweet start, with hints of herbal hops. Toasted grains and dark caramel flavors as well. Long malt finish. Touches of wintergreen. This is bock, pure and simple, or at least as simple as a true bock can be. 7/10

Lightly clouded, tannish brown. Light white head. Very bready, molasses, some floral notes. Decent amount of bitterness, mainly sweet, turns toward bitter/ very lightly spicy finish. Finish is reasonably long. Medium body, quite chewy. Light carbonation, light acidity. Quite good. phaleslu (10889) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 23, 2015
12 oz. bottle that I can’t remember where I got from - shrubber85? - anyway, that’s a good sign I have too much beer. This one pours a semi-cloudy amber with a moderate off-white head that leaves a lasting film and some spots of lace. Notes of caramel, brown sugar, banana, leaves, clove, dry grains, cereal, and cracker. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty, smooth, earthy mouthfeel. It’s all right, maybe a little past its prime but otherwise a solid example of the style. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 11, 2015
12oz bottle, big thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Hazy amber brown color. Some particles in the body. Thin off-white head. Leaves good bits and ropes of lace, a nice amount of lace. Dark fruit, chocolate, raisin. Some toastiness. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter, mild bite. Solid bock, but some musty older character to it at the moment. I bet this was totally fantastic fresh. BeerInHeaven (493) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2014
pours cola brown with a medium tan head. aroma is toasted biscuit. taste is crisp and clean (and no caffeine. LOL) Kind of non-descript. mild sweetness on the finish. Not bad, but Uff-Da is a much better bock from NG.

12oz bottle -
Kinda geeked up to try a new New Glarus product. I grilled up some mushroom stuffed cheese burgers with gruyere and smoked gouda and I thought this would go nicely, and it did. The aroma was a bit strange on this one. Cured meats, salami and capicola came to mind with some light earthyness to it. No noticeable hops. Flavor had some light meat marinade/steak sauce thing going on with some light bready sweetness, and a touch of toffee. Body was coca-cola brown, clear with a smallish tight white head. Not incredibly impressive, but tasty just the same. jahshuwuh (567) - USA - OCT 11, 2014
A dark brown rubt color with a finger of cream colored head. Smells of dark fruit, cherry, raisin, apple, brown sugar. Taste is the some of the dark fruit, with banana, caramel malt sweetness, minor hop bitter, and a small bit of spice in the back. Medium carbonation and thin mouth. A good drinking bock with good flavors and sweetness.
