A pitch black beer with a small disappearing light brown head. The aroma is of roasted malt and coffee, and so is the flavor, before it ends on a dry note from the roasted malt. Surprisingly thin body. joergen (28164) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 10, 2008

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a very dark brown with a reddish hue and a small beige head. Sweet pleasant roast, some vanilla aroma too. Medium body, sweet pleasant roast, licorice notes, some overripe dark fruits. Subdued bitterness. Not really that coffeeish. Pleasant. 220611

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, lactose sugar, caramel, nuts and hops. mcberko (17847) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 29, 2013
12 oz. bottle, bonus’d to me by ekoerper (thanks Ed), pours black with a small, foamy, dull beige head. Aroma is very mellow, with drip coffee being the only real discernible note. Flavour is likewise quite mellow, with notes of coffee upfront, a touch of roast and a bit of chocolate to end out the palate. Medium-bodied, with pretty subtle flavours, but pretty impressive for being sub-5%. Solid, albeit unspectacular stout.
