COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you dream of wheat this brew will get your toes tapping. Since 1995 we have brewed Bavarian style wheat beers exclusively for the same great state that grows and malts our own Wisconsin wheat. In a world full of posers this is a true hefe-weizen naturally 100% bottle fermented and hazy.

Expect this beer to cascade effervescent into your glass. The rich spicy clove and cinnamon notes will greet your nose while sweet fruit and wheat kisses your lips.

Lick the foam from your mouth and admit sometimes you just gotta get up and dance.

Bottle from PUBR. Pours chill hazy golden with 2-finger fluffy head. The head is loud and boisterous, and says to me, "Byron Leftwixh sucks." Well, I agree. Nose is Belgian triply, with funky yeast esters, hopcitrus, florals, and orange marmalade. Tastes of dry florals, yeasty esters, some clovey spicy notes, and a complex finish.

Out of the bottle, poured a deep gold, hazy, with a huge rocky persistent head. I got notes of banana, clove, boozy banana bread, wrigleys juicy fruit gum, candy sugar, and wheat malt. Bottle purchased directly from brewery does not have an ABV written on it, but RB is listing it at 7.2% which feels right - it packs a punch for a wheat beer. Love it.

Bottle from Greg (gregwilsonstl) -- cheers! This is one intense wheat beer. Its got all of the classic elements of Hefeweizen -- the grain and hay taste from the wheat and the bubblegum/orange/clove esters from the yeast -- but its all amplified, especially the yeast notes. Really good, really bold.

Intense esters, sweet grain and bread malts, caramel, bubble gum, more molasses. Hazy gold, medium, creamy, white head. Heavy sweet. More sweet grain malts, bread and caramel, sweet esters, soft carbonation, heavy bodied. Very nice Weizenbock, maybe a touch too sweet for me. Bottle from brewery, New Glarus, WI.

Bottled. Small sample. Old note. The aroma has light cloves, banana, some grain. Hazy, yellow coloured beer with a medium sized white head. The taste is light bitter and refreshing. Good one.

12 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI, served in a New Glarus weizen glass at cellar temp or so. Huge pop when the cap comes off, and it pours an enormous gout of foam, which subsides fairly quickly atop the lightly oily-cloudy golden body...on the nose, its bubblegum-bubblegum-bubblegum; I dont often use that word, maybe because I was never a bubblegum guy and havent chewed it for decades, but this beer more than any other I can remember brought me back to the days of Bubble Yum, Bubblicious, and especially Bazooka and the Bazooka Joe comics. Man, the memories! Who knew that bubblegum aroma in a weizenbock is my madeleine? Anyway theres also some banana and I could swear some mint in this utterly entrancing nose, and I keep going at it for minutes, forgetting to drink, reveling in the past...finally I take a sip, and (no surprise), the rose-colored glasses are off, and Im back to the present, and not 8 years old again asking for another quarter to put in the candy machine for another pack of Bazooka Joe, just inside the entrance to the Beloit Kohls grocery store...sigh...its decent enough, with that bready malt fairly rich, sweet - perhaps too sweet - but with enough sourness coming through on the end to keep it from getting TOO cloying, or it would be if not for the rather low carbonation level...finishes sweet, bready, thick. I have the feeling this bottle was a little old - a mix-a-six bottle and I think this is one of the lesser-selling varieties, at least at this store. Hey, Im burping gum! If a bubble should come out, thisll get a 5.0. Wait for it...sigh...no. You cant go home again.
