UPDATED: AUG 28, 2008 12 oz bottle from Discount Liquor. Pours a hazed yellow with a white head. Great balance in the nose of wheat, caramel, dough, lemon, banana, and fruit. Creamy palate and flavors that match the aroma. The balance of flavors leaves nothing standing out but it all working together extremely well. So balanced and so drinkable, its hard to say what it is that makes this stand out, other than the incredible balance and drinkability. I think this will now be a regular sixer I pick up when crossing the northern border. JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - AUG 1, 2007

12 oz bottle sampled thanks to drewbeerme around the campfire. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Nose of clove, yeast, bready malt, bannana with a light sweetness. Creamy body, sweet malts, doughy yeast, wheat, banana, a touch of spice, a little sweet. But a good hefeweizen. I don’t know if I got the yeast out of the bottom of the bottle. I’d like to try it again with an ensured correct pour. 7/4/7/3/14 = 3.5
Thanks to monger for this gem. It pours a cloudy dark yellow with a frothy, meringue like white head. The aroma and flavor are of cloves and some banana with a crisp finish. Very tasty. Silphium (3198) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - AUG 14, 2007
Hazy medium-orange body, thick off-white to buff head. Strong estery nose of clove and banana. Estery body highlighting clove with lighter banana notes, giving way to a tangy, wet hay wheat kick. Good balance of the yeast and malt elements; I love how the esters hit the palate immediately but fade away to the tangy malt and nose-tingling alcohol. Smooth, complex, and refreshing, another winner from this fine brewery. hezron (614) - Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Pours into my wheat glass with a huge rocky head that dissipates over time as huge carbonation bubbles rise up the side of the glass. Super cloudy and golden in color. Aroma of toasted wheat, caramel candy and caramelized banana. Flavors of earthy bubblegum and banana with a nice bit of lemony-wheat before a touch of clove, but really not much spice at all. Towards the end it starts tasting a little like apples. Palate is nice and refreshing, with prickly carbonation and a slightly drying finish. Overall, it may be a little sweet and I find the apple-clove combination in the finish a little strange. WallyWalrus (205) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 26, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a pale amber with a healthy off-color head. Aroma is dominated by hops with some subdued notes of malt, grain, and spices. Taste is crisp, carbonated, and medium-bodied with flavors of citrus, sour fruit, spice, and grains. Excellent summer brew and one of the best hefeweizen’s I can recall.

Bottle (12oz). Via trade with Ughsmash. Lightly cloudy orange-gold with a large fizzy-fluffy lasting white head. Subtle balanced aroma, banana and fruit is less up-front than many, the grainy malt is rich and soft. The taste is also classic hefe with less emphasis on the fruit and more cereal grain and somewhat more lght herbal hop character than I’m used to, makes for a more balanced finish. I can’t decide if the body is slightly watery or not - certainly not thick, but good life on the palate, and you start to notice this is "bigger" than the run of the mill hefe halfway through the bottle - medium length finish, you really start to notice the pungent spice by the bottom too, with a little alcohol heat residual. Really, really good - those of you who can get this regularly, I’m jealous. Thanks, Ugh! undsioux7 (876) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - AUG 30, 2007
Pours cloudy golden with a white head that dissapates. Aroma of huge banana. Almost smells like laffe taffe. The most banana I have smelled in a Hefe. Lots of carbonation in the taste. Taste is wheat, banana, some citris. Just a bit too lively on the pallete for me, but otherwise a very nice smooth hefe. Thanks grim! crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - SEP 12, 2007
Thanks Monger. Cloudy yellow pour, big white head that stays. Huge bubblegum aroma. Flavor is bubblegum, lots of wheat, banana, and some lemon. Thick mouthfeel and sweet yet not tart at all and just creamy as hell. Phenolic yeast throughout as well with clove notes in the background. Good beer. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 18, 2007
simply awesome..bottle from silphium...dark yellow/golden body with large white head..aroma of citrus notes, banana bread, spice, and cinnamon...flavor is large in sticky banana, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove..hides the 7.2% very well; near-perfect for this style johnadam2002 (529) - Hainesport, New Jersey, USA - SEP 20, 2007
Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma of wheat and fruit. Nice wheat flavor with some fruit hints in the finish. I thought this was a 5% brew. I was wrong. Big thanks to KingpinIPA for trading me this!
