COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This “Nobel-Pilsner” is the creation of our brewmaster. He brought special yeast from Bavaria, combined it with Wisconsin barley and the finest Bavarian and American hops. Then employing traditional brewing methods, this Pilsner is finished with a long cold rest in our cellars. Expect this bier to be creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.

No head whatsoever(?!?) and rather weak carbonation for a pilsener. The toasted malt is quite good, but I'd like a little more hops please. Good pretzel beer.

Has a decent head and a pleasant pils flavor, but this beers too fizzy for me.

For those who don't think a pilsener can be a good beer, think again. Edel-Pils is a fine pilsener, if not one of the best I've ever tried. Pours out to a darker, but still bright, golden color in the glass with a slightly off-white head that sticks around for awhile. Smell is that or faint yeast, but somewhat faintly sweet. Taste is that of a great hop to malt balance, with a slightly sweet tinge to it. Very similar to a European pils, i.e. Pilsener Urquell, Czechvar, etc, but better. Highly drinkable

Tasty. It doesn't have quite the bite of a Pilsner Urquell, but sometimes that's a good thing.

Malty aroma with little hop snap. This is a very average pilsner if you ask me. The hops were barely noticeable. I expected something a little more over the top from this nice brewery.

Not my favorite of NG's beers, but its still damn good......................

Given the brewer's predilection for fruit beers, it's no surprise that the appearance of this excellent beer is reminiscent of cider, a beautiful clear amber with just a hint of red. Creamy head that falls a bit too quickly; flavor mellow, creamy, hoppy and just a bit citrusy all at once; not a bold masterpiece, but a subtle, sublime example of the brewmaster's art for the discerning taster. Finish lingers and lingers with a hint of apple and lemon amidst the hoppiness. Aroma probably better than my score; when I drink this unencumbered by a cold, it will really be a treat!

Nice, fresh tasting pilsner. Good blend of hops, gives this a refreshing flavor and lasting finish.

Flowery pils-style that was full and round..................................

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2003 Great beer from a great town. A solid brew that has a favorable taste to it. The brewers down at the new glarus brewery have done themselves proud with this one.
