This Nobel-Pilsner is the creation of our brewmaster. He brought special yeast from Bavaria, combined it with Wisconsin barley and the finest Bavarian and American hops. Then employing traditional brewing methods, this Pilsner is finished with a long cold rest in our cellars. Expect this bier to be creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.

Nice clear golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma is grainy, crisp, clean and smooth. Some good hop character. Nice noble hop aroma. Grassy, clean. Really good.

[Bottle] Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is pretty simple--mainly just clover honey. Taste is similarly simple. Malt-driven rounded sweetness up front, balanced with adequate bitterness. The sweetness fades in the finish but crackery malt shows up. I would have liked the cracker to have been amped up a little. Fairly thin mouthfeel, finish length is average. Overall, I love a good pils and I love New Glarus, but this did not quite come together as I had hoped it would. Not to say this is a bad or flawed beer...it just failed to really impress me.

Bottle. Corn/barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with giant head. Sweet corny barley malt and had flavor. Medium body. Drinkable but a disappointment - more like a mediocre pale lager.

Bottle. Caramel color with an off white head. Sweet citrus and hay. Full of flavor and no skunk. Wish all pilsners were like this.

Bottle. Pours a rich golden orange with lots of bubbles and a good foam. Aroma is very light, just getting a little bit of grain, corn, and some alcohol. The softness of the beer hits me right away, a softness of grains and mild mandarin orange sweetness. Finish is super clean, with light malt sweetness again at the end. Well made, could put a few of these down.

Aroma: light pils malt, hints of sulfur, some crisp and spicy hop character. Appearance: brilliantly clear golden, thick white head with good retention, leaves spotty lacing. Taste: cracker and light pils malt notes, very clean and refreshing, nice spicy hops, medium bitterness, just a bit of sweetness in the finish. Palate: light/medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: really great brew, refreshing and clean.
