Pours golden yellow with a sudsy white head. The aroma has clean pale malt and is richer than most pils with the hops taking a back seat. The malt is perfect & wish there were more hops, but it is still fantastic. Medium body that is thicker and richer than most in the style with smooth underscored sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with rich pils malt and a bit of spicy / grassy hops. The finish is a bit hoppier and it is extremely clean. Fantastic version of a pils. tylermgaddis (16) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 8, 2013
Poured a big frothy eggshell white head, pale straw yellow hue body. Smells malty, mild spice from the hops, noble? Tastes so smooth, finishes sweet, but perfectly balanced with hop bitterness (no significant hop flavors, but hop presence obviously helps). Palate is medium bodied. SUPER drinkable, definitely a session beer, but also thought provoking. New Glarus is making me reconsider a good lager for my go-to summer drink. starewich (170) - - APR 19, 2013
Great pilsener. Looks clear, bold and fizzy. Tastes light, clean and balanced, with a grapey sweetness. New Glarus again makes me glad to live in Wisconsin. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 23, 2013
Purchased at a random gas station in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed while my band played at an art space in that city, also enjoyed at home on a rainy work night. Appearance is a crisp gold with a rich and frothy white head. Aroma of light lager yeast and bready malt, smells pretty nice. Taste goes down crisp with a bready afterfinish and very subtle lemon notes. This is a fantastic pilsener, one of the best I’ve had. Well done, New Glarus! dannighe (2) - - JUN 29, 2013 does not count
Overall a nice taste, clean aftertaste that doesn’t stick around long. It’s a little fruitier than I normally like, but generally decent.

12 oz. bottle thanks to a friend’s trip to the brewery. Pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that settles into a film and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malty; plenty of pils malts, dough, straw, and cracker. A little grass. The flavor has pils and biscuity malts, slightly sweetened cereal, light melon fruit, grass, and straw. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a clean, malty mouthfeel. Holy smokes. This is fantastic. joshwoodward (575) - - JUL 14, 2013
A very delicious pils. A good crisp bite, above average but balanced hops. Slightly dark. Very refreshing. BeerKurve (520) - - JUL 22, 2013
Mildly clear golden color with a filmy head. Aroma consists of yeast, biscuits, pale malts, faint floral hops and a slightly sweet-grassy scent. Flavor is yeasts, sweet & pale malts, and a slight grassiness. Very sweet tasting for a Pilsener. Body is fairly light but the carbonation packs a punch, it helps the flavor but at the same time, gives it some stinginess. A great tasting Pilsener overall! I had previously had the spotted cow and loved it. This poured a dark blonde with a medium white head. It had a very clean taste and a nice finish. I really enjoyed this beer. If I were rich I would buy a summer home in New Glarus, Wisconsin so I could try all of their brews. malachi (62) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 28, 2005
bottle, poured quickly, lots of carbonation, lasting head, lots of honey, short finish. Great pilsener with no hint of skunk unlike green-bottled pilseners.
