Embrace a classic! Home Town Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course thats no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Nice white creamy head with good lacing above a fairly deep yellow body. Light, but pleasing sweet malt aroma. Sweet grassy taste with a slight citrus finish. A little harsh in the carbonation arena, but still very delicious.

Bottle from Kevin42. Usual pils pour, straw yellow with a thin head. This is a very full flavored well rounded beer. Slightly spicy and citrus with a clean finish. Not the best New Glarus I have had, but his is damn good. If there were more pilsners like this, I might actually like pilsners.

Pours a rocky white head that lingers and laces well. Pure clear gold in the glass. Nice crisp nose of spice (Saaz)but not assertively so. Sips spicy with notes of citrus and perfectly balanced with malt. I like this better than the Edel-Pils, because it is less dry and highly quaffable. Great German pils (but may lean to a helles in body).

First many thanks to JCapriotti for this bonus beer in our recent trade! Crystal clear sparkling golden ody topped by a beautiful white head that collapses around the edges leaving big sheets of lace and a volcano mound in the middle. The aroma is very grassy only slighlt sweet and is quite simply excellent! The flavor is also quite good, grassy with some citrus components. Mildly sweet, hops are the headliners here. A shockingly good German style pilsner.

bottle. one of the many new glarus brews i brought back from a recent trip to Wi. pours a lemon color with a thick, lasting white head, has a floral slightly sweet aroma that is nice. im not a fan of pilsners except for the occasional mass consumption of the macros to help dull the pain that is my life, but back to the beer. overall flavor is o.k a little bit sour, doesnt finish well. a little too hoppy, but not as bad as some. it is about what i expected.

not really to my liking. Pale yellow without any real lasting head. no real flavor to speak of except for an odd aftertaste that I can really put my finger on

I dont really like pilsners that much, but this is the best one that I have tried. You can tell that choice ingredients were used - nice head - good lacing - hops present in the taste, with malt and some fruitiness. I was reluctant to buy it because I dont like pilsners, but New Glarus has not dissapointed me yet, so I gave it a shot.

A good pilsner. Pale golden color, largish head. Smells malty, tastes of spicy hops. An example of the style.

Bottle pours a pale yellow with a small head, some lace. The aroma is malty and floral. Strong malt backbone, fruity, almost like rose water, and bittered to balance. The body is nice and rich. Overall, not my favorite, but still pretty good.

I'm not a big fan of pilsners. But this is the best I've had. It poured out a bright blonde with a 1.5 inch head that took a minute to go down. Nice lacing. It had a very smooth taste that was also easy on the palate. Nice fruity and citrus undertones make this a very good beer.
