Moon Man is a seriously cool cat. Always comfortable in his own skin, he never tries too hard. So cool we named our "no coast" pale ale after him. You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Dont let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real. Just be.

Can from TODD! Thanks! A: Semi cloudy orange-gold with a big foamy white head. N: Big grapefruit, pine, and biscuit for starters. Light orange and a hint of lemon. Pineapple far below. Toast and a hint of passionfruit. T: Moderately sweet and bitter. M: Light body, creamy carbonation, no alcohol. O: This is quite a nice pale. Its bursting with flavor, and I find it a nice compromise of west/east.

12 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI, sampled a few minutes out of the fridge in a New Glarus pils glass. Clear golden-amber, largish billowy lasting off-white head, a bit of foamy residue left behind...big grapefruit-orange aroma, juicy and a bit spicy with a hint of coriander, of pepper, of lavender...expert crafting is apparent in the moderately sweet, lightly dry body, light-to-medium-bodied and faintly syrupy, very juicy with a hint of woody and burnt/smoky character towards the finish...light, tingly hop notes throughout remind you that this is very much a pale ale, nowhere close to an IPA - nor is it trying to be. Eminently quaffable, and likely my favorite reasonably-priced session beer that I can get anywhere since Ive been back in Wisconsin.

A nice low gravity pale ale. This isn't a IPA. It's a perfect balance of hop and light grain. Crisp fresh enjoyable. Nice head that fades to a lingering thin. Passion fruit and some honey dew. Subtle melon flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
