COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moon Man is a seriously cool cat. Always comfortable in his own skin, he never tries too hard. So cool we named our "no coast" pale ale after him. You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Don’t let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real. Just be.

A solid APA. There is not anything unique about this beer, but it is made very well.

Bottle, courtesy OldSock. Pour is a hazy white with a nice white head, good retention/lacing. Aroma is floral/fruity hops, some yeasty notes. Taste is light bitterness, light sweetness, bready malts, floral, lemon notes. Palate is clean, soft, lightly bitter finish. Really nice easy drinking pale ale.

Bottle provided by dkachur. Pours clear light copper with a small, frothy and bubbly white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is fragrant floral, fruity, and citrus hops with light biscuit and cereal malt and average fruity esters. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness with light malt for some balance and moderate fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth.

Pours a sparkling golden yellow color, with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is hop dominant, with a fresh, fragrant combination of floral, woodsy, and citrus characteristics. The flavor is a bit more balanced, with an earthy vet vibrant hop profile being at least somewhat contrasted by some nice bready malt sweetness. The fine, soft carbonation only somewhat breaks up the resinous texture, but it isn’t at light as I would prefer. Overall, this is a great example of a hop-forward pale ale.

(12oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear gold with soapy white bubbles. Nose of big time rose, orange, and honey. Taste of orange, rose, citrus zest and earth. Earthy finish.

Pours crystal clear yellow with a thin white head that remains for a while. Smells of sweet caramel malts, grass, sweet citrus hops, pine, and a touch of earth. Sweet cirtrus fruits on the palate with a strong lemon zest on the palate. Nice and dry hoppy finish that lasts for some time.

dumontn (530) - St. Joseph, Michigan, USA - SEP 9, 2011
Appearance is clear gold with 1 finger head and great retention. Aroma is tangerine, a hint of grapefruit with a gentle honey backdrop. Taste is tangerine and honey with a subtle bitter finish. Body is medium, super slick/smooth, average carbonation is just enough to nip the tongue. Overall, this is one of the most perfectly balanced and drinkable pales I’ve ever had. New Glarus is just awesome.

Great pale, from Riley’s in Madison. Generous retained head of three-eighths of an inch on golden yellow, and leaving spider lacing. Mild hop aroma. Incredible drinkability, I finished in three gulps. Pleasant citrus taste. Very sessionable. Very smooth.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2011 Moon Man is a better cat than beer IMO. Its a decent to solid APA but I was bit disappointed in this beer. It has a very floral smell and taste, a touch of citrus.

355ml bottle from jsprime. light crystal clear golden with a lasting white head. great looking brew. tight lean malt aroma with playful subtle hopping. simple well constructed pale malt body. very well balanced, hella sessionable. terribly under-rated.
