Very mellow maltiness with a soft roasted finish. Slight nutty flavor, but overall smooth and easy drinking. JPDIPSO (6256) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 27, 2002
Deep dark amber color with a smaller light tan head. Aroma of dry specialty malts, with a touch of nuttiness. Slight malt sweetness with a dark malt backbone. Flavors are not overly pronounced, but very well balanced. Very alt like. Light coffee, cocoa, hazelnut, and dark toffee. Finishes very clean with a dark malt aftertaste begging for another sip. Nice new addition, now if they would only bring back their Cabin Fever Double. TheDean (786) - MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 25, 2002

Dark brown beer, somewhat cloudy. Good lace. Definate coffee flavoring, a bit of something sweeter too, maybe chocolate or caramel? Nice new beer from the folks in New Glarus.
