500 ml thanks to ogglethorp. Big sour cherry nose and taste. Bourbon and some dash of vanilla. Oak adds tons of flavor, really transforms the cherry.

Bottle thanks to JohnGalt1. Pours out a dark ruby/amber topped with a small white head. Aroma was cherries, vanilla, bourbon, wood, caramel, and some bread malts. Taste was as the aroma a cherries leading the way with some sweetness from the bourbon. All around a very tasty one.

Bottle with tom and bill from bill. Pours murky cranberry. Notes of oak, cherry sourness, vanilla, kind of enigma like. Complex and layered, perfect amount of lacto and fruit in this one. One of the best fruit beers I have had to date. Taste like ’10 enigma yo, thitt.

Bottle shared by LtDan (thanks!) (bottled on 8.6.10). Pours with a clear (appears to not be bottle conditioned) copper body and a tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of cherry pie, wet dog, oak, cinnamon, pie crust and vanilla. Flavors of tart cherries, pie and graham cracker, biscuity, wet blanket, lactic sourness. Lively bubbles with a somewhat sweet finish.

500mL bottle. Poured a lovely shade of clear reddish-amber with a little bit of dense off-white head on top. The aroma picked up sweet and sour cherries upfront, with funky lemon rind, some footy notes, and old oak barrels accenting.. totally decadent! The flavor found a bit sweeter cherries with complementary sour zest and metallic bourbon around.. some funky and earthy accents.. finished with some residual fruity sugar.. touches of oxidation on the back.. overall tasty, but not what I was hoping after the nose. Medium-bodied with low-moderate carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow, but a little too grainy. Overall a solid brew.

500 ml bottle from the brewery (New Glarus, WI). Decided to pop one and go for it. Pours a glowing fiery reddish copper, light touch of haze, and a frothy offwhite head that dies to an small film, laces ok. Fiery cherry sunset hue, small loose head. Aromas are decent kick of Bourbon, wet oak and vanilla tannins push on, sweet and tart cherries, a light booziness and Bourbon spirit flavor. Simple, yet appealing. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, easy and lively on the palate, decent bubbly carbonation, Bourbon spirit and vanilla, wet oak and sweet and tart cherries. Light maltiness of biscuits and bread comes through more, tart cherries grow with a hint of vinegar. Some lactic acid and light touch vinegar grows, sour and sweet cherries move in. Bourbon barrek is a nice feel, done for a good time length. Flavors are solid as the beer gives in to more tart cherries and vinegar with a good tartness taking hold. The barrel starts to take on more barrel in the finish, smoothed out vanilla and oak. A nice gentler sour with firm fruit notes and some really nice barrel notes combining with lactic acidity and juicy tart cherries and a touch of biscuity malt beneath. Very nice beer here, not as complex as I had anticipated.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy ruby red body with a minimal thin ring of head. The nose is coming across as a bit buttery with a slight bourbon note, not really showing any sourness at all, minimal alcohol note. The flavor is a mix of sweet and tart cherry with a nice vanilla and bourbon finish. The brightness that comes from the sour cherries reminds me a bit of Selins Grove Kriek actually. Mouthfeel is full and a little clingy with soft gentle carbonation. Pretty nice beer, the barrel aging is pretty well done.
