4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle with Ray. Pours a deep maroon with thin head and limited lacing. Smells like fresh homemade raspberry jam. Nice tartness, amazing raspberry flavor. Virtually no alcohol presence. New Glarus continuously makes incredible fruit beers and this is one of my favorites.
Murky dark reddish brown color, quick dissipating beige head. Jammy aroma of raspberry with unfortunate metallic undertones. Moderately sweet like juice with no traces of alcohol. Moderate carb, light body, a little fruit stickiness, and a pleasant finish. Scipio (1185) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - SEP 28, 2017
Pours a dark red, almost purple, with a medium, light pink head. As expected, the nose brings heavy raspberry. This makes up most of the aroma, though I do get some grape. Its tart as well. The taste is acidic and is just subtly tart, which is very surprising. However, there is a delicious raspberry explosion upon drinking that makes up for the lack of tartness. Although the raspberry clearly dominates, there is some supporting spice, yeast, and oak. Heavy and long lasting raspberry finish. Light to medium in body, a little sticky in texture, and softer in carbonation. This is the rare fruit beer that I could drink all night and never get sick of. Exceptional! Bottle. Pours very deep red, sort of like dark cranberry juice, raspberry-tinged red head. Aroma is lots of raspberry juice, cranberrry, lightly tart, very sweet. I don't know what to say other than that it's high-quality raspberry soda without being overly sweet. Flavor follows. Very sweet, but a lightly tart note that prevents it from being overly sweet. Last NG beer I had was Strawberry Rhubarb. This isn't on that level but this is quite good. Sweet but pleasantly tart. randy1969 (70) - Marengo, Illinois, USA - JUL 17, 2017

Bottle thanks to Mr. Priest. Red / amber, beige head. Straight berry nose - raspberry tart. Flavor is straight crushed raspberries, more off color fruits, fruit leather, apricot, mango sweet tarts. Very very sweet with very light mild acidity and effervescence. Lovely malrubius (2987) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Bottle. Raspberry brown sugar woody aroma. Sweet raspberry brown sugar with tart ripe sweet raspberries and fruity sweet woody finish. Medium light soft slick body. Very good. Better than Wisconsin Red IMHO. .................................................. [Fuck A-B/Inbev] Ktwse (5358) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2017
Pours clear mahogany with flat tan head. Aroma of raspberries, wild strawberries, light red grapes and bretta, hints of almond icing. Taste is rich berry sweet with a mild tarty finish, very balanced. Light and crisp body with average carbonation. jc1762 (1588) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 14, 2017
Thanks Virby44 for the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing very dark wine red with half a finger of tanned cherry foam.
The nose shows a lot of juicy and ripe raspberry with hints of steel tank.
The palate is light bodied and lightly carbonated. A lot of juicy raspberry with a very subtle tartness and a moderate sweetness but completely balances with the beer. Finish is once again more raspberry. Very light malt profile revealed on the end. Drinks similar to juice and could use a bit more tartness but still refreshing and juicy. papat444 (136) - Carignan, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 9, 2017
Appearance: Crimson red body looking almost liked pureed raspberries with a thin head.
Smell: All rapsberries here, aroma of freshly picked berries, looking good.
Taste: A rush of raspberries hits you, tart & bitter but no apparent sweetness maybe masked by the tartness.
Mouthfeel: Fizziness in the mouthfeel, bold & heavy taste, a little too heavy maybe. Dominant flavor is raspberries (of course!) which have a over-ripened feel to them.
