COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark ale is a hearty and satisfying reward for those of us who embrace the frozen tundra. Uncut oatmeal fresh from Chilton, Wisconsin gives this Stout a "sink into it" smoothness that slides you into its depth. Handcrafted English Chocolate malt and Wisconsin Victory malt combine to balance this robust ale. Expect this ale to pour a luxurious rich head over a rich black ruby body. The powerful malt bouquet will greet you as you tip this silky smoothness from your glass. Our Oatmeal Stout is handcrafted in the time-honored traditions. Serve just above room temperature and relax -- road construction season will soon return.

black opaque mostly, slight ruby hue. Heady, rocky head. Aroma is a nice chocolate, slight roasty, maybe herbal and a hint of citrus. Smooth taste, chocolate, mellow easy roast malt, finishes like semi-bitter dark chocolate. Good stout, a little less sweet and lighter body than i was expecting, but good. Winter seasonal, that I found in Dickyville WI in June. Their fruit beers are so good I just got the Belgian cherry which is excellent , I knew I should have gotten serendipity and raspberry tart again, Oh well maybe Ill roadtrip another time to pick up different seasonals.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with some transparency. Smells of oatmeal, chocolate, roasted malt. Nice. Tastes of roasted malt, oatmeal lends some sweetness. A little chocolate sweetness behind it before the roasted malt comes back. Dries out in the finish. Medium body. Really well made stout.

Black pour with a huge, foamy, slightly tan head. Aroma of lager yeast and a bit of lactose. Hints of chocolate. Medium bodied. Taste is light, bitter roasted malt and lager yeast with some coppery notes. A little lace present. Not crazy about this one.

Chocolate, roasted nuts and a tinge of lactose sourness in the aroma. Very nice medium-weight stout that is indeed as silky smooth as advertised, with a quick, sweet finish. Not over the top but done very well. Bottled Jan. 28, 2017, so it’s a lovely three-months old.

12floz bottle as a single (per unit ~$1.50) with no clear freshness indicated. Appears dark brown with a thick light-brown head. Derived from the malt bill, the aroma is of molasses. Slick, medium-bodied mouthfeel, and flavors of brown sugar and cocoa are on display. Good.

Aroma of burnt coffee and chocolate. Appearance black as tar. Taste is chocolate and hits of coffee. Palate medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Overall another great beer from a company only available in Wisconsin.

black pour with a thick tan head. roasted malt aroma with some coffee. Lightly chocalaty taste with a solid malt character. Lightly sweet finish and linger. Pretty good.

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters showing a darkest brown hue, with a presentable layer of tan foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was only modestly roasted, with a touch of cocoa, and hints of toffee & dark caramel. The taste was similar, medium bodied, with okay carbonation, a bit of creaminess to the texture, and some roasted & earthy bitterness. Modestly robust, mild Brown Porter-like, with a fairly drinkable nature.
