Happy Accident Fruit Ale Severe Drought, we shared the farmers horror as Wisconsins cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsins favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavors discovered by accident in a sour ale! Cheers to the unexpected. Vielen Dank!

Sampled thanks to Lubierre, probably one of my favourite beers of the night. Redish brown, hazy, biege head. First impression brings my back to childhood and sour green apple jolly ranchers with some cherry components...could break it down but that is essentially that this was for me...and seeing as I loved those as a child it was a good things for me (although probably biased). Full body, moderate carbonation, get a bit of cranberry on the palate, then the apple and some cherry overwhelm but in a good way. Wow did I like this - thanks Luc for bringing this one out. Would gladly buy a case of this one.

Light and sour aroma, I can smell hints of apple. Light brown and and clear. Had an enjoyable blend of fruity flavors and a sour palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is sweet and apple filled, almost like candy but light enough to be all apple. Appearance is a nice clear red. Taste is sweet apple with some sour edge. Almost too sweet, damaging drinkability, but very enjoyable. Has a nice level of carbonation.

Bottle thanks to jer. Pours with a clear reddish hued body with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of Ocean Breeze Cranberry Cocktail, cherry and apple. Quite sweet smelling and almost all fruit. Flavors are apple, dark cherries, sweet, some cinnamon like flavors, pie. Canned/caramelized pineapple. Very sweet. Lively carbonation, massive body, stick finish, with not quite enough acidity to keep it from being cloying.

Holy Fruit Bomb ! Pours a deep ruby brownish color with a equally strange colored pink grey head. The nose is full of harvest fruit apple, cherry, cranberry, grape juice, a touch of vanilla and oak as well. The palate is sweeter than I expected and very juicy. Big fruit that is in your face when served cold but mellows out slightly as it warms to room temp. As it warms more acidity emerges with some darker fruit funk appearing in the finish. Nice beer but a little to sweet. Thanks JStax !

If this is a temporary replacement for Belgian Red I hope that it sticks around a bit longer. This is right up there with Raspberry Tart as a world class sour fruit beer. Before it disappears from the shelves I am going to pick up a few more for the cellar.

Aroma / Appearance - A purplish red body shimmers and glows. The red edges give the color of a setting sun. Dirty white flecks of head and soft legs give it just the right amount of depth. Cranberries, apples, and cherry fruit pie sweeten the air like the judging table at a county fair. This is a blend of a candy store and an orchard.

Flavor / Palate - Cranberries and apples are sweet on the tip of the tongue. The tang that hangs in the back of the throat is like a sharp lemonade. From start to finish this is a great balance between sweet and sour. Until Belgian Red comes back this is a fine substitute.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Bomber from Casanova. Wow, I love this. Better than the Raspberry Tart and Belgian Red for me. Awesome apple, cranberry, and cherry. The flavor explodes and isnt overly tart or sour. Phenomenal!

From the bottle, nice red pour with a white head. Aroma of tart fruit including cranberries, taste is a good mix of the apples, cranberries, and cherries. One excellent beer!!!!
