3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours crystal clear orange with a creamy white head. Malt aroma with some German yeast notes. Sweet and malty with no hop bitterness. The finish is fairly dry. Rich creamy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. Very enjoyable Octoberfest that is true to style.
not a big fan of ambers, viennas or marzens but when the weather cools and i stop shaving my balls, i can get down on one .. its got caramel, nicely dry, and is quite full. a solid american example. .. . Cat stares at me, damn those beady eyes! superspak (6004) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - NOV 1, 2017
Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, best before 1/9/2017. Pours slighjtly hazy orange/light copper color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of bread dough, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big bread dough, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Minimal herbal, grassy, spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of bread dough, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.25%. Overall this is a delicious Oktoberfest style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Nothing but rich and clean Pils/Munich malt flavors, with just enough hops to balance the sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. tompete (348) - Tillsonburg, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2017
Pours brownish orange with a fine long lasting off white head. Aroma is caramels. Flavour is slightly harsh in the German lager tradition, but malty. Finish is full and slightly bitter. onceblind (10548) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2017
Bright shiney copper hue under a thick ivory head. Nice toasty German bready malt nose. Brisk toffee toasty malt flavor that’s crisp and soft and toasted bready. Smooth semidry finish. DWestrick (811) - Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 1, 2017
Bottle. Admittedly not my favorite style, but this was crisp and refreshing- true to form. Good beer

It pours copper orange with an off white head. The aroma has toffee and rich marzen lager smoothness. It has a medium body with mild carbonation. The taste has rich toasted malt, caramel, toffee and light noble hops. Thanks a bunch to terminus for picking this up for me. pkbites (976) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 1, 2017
For whatever reason I am not a huge fan of this style. I think it's because they are never as malty as I expect them to be. This one is no different. Lovely medium/dark amber with a nutty nose and light beige head. But the flavor is light and watery. Little malt flavor and only light hops. Kind of grainy as well. It's okay but not great. On tap @ Cafe Hollander, Brookfield, Wisconsin. randy1969 (79) - Marengo, Illinois, USA - SEP 30, 2017
Aroma of spiced, herbal hops. Appearance of amber, red with puffy white head. Nutty, caramel sweetness with a lingering spiciness. Mellow and soft carbonation, with a rich and full body. drdisque (882) - Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2017
On tap at Mars Cheese Castle bar. Pours clear copper. Aroma is lightly roasted medium bodied and quenching with a clean finish. Very good Oktoberfest but not exactly bursting with flavor so in my opinion, not among the very best. Scipio (1213) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2017
Pours a clear, dark golden with a thin white head that settles slowly. It looks a little watery actually. The aroma is weaker all around. I find toasted malt, nuts, and caramel, though nothing stands out. The taste is moderately sweet. Caramel and brown sugar are found on top, with spice as a good supporting element. Minor amounts of floral hops, nuts, and some toasted hints are found underneath. Short finish of caramel is very faint. Its light in body and has a thin texture. Even though this isn't my favorite style, I'm still disappointed.
