From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aroma of tart apples. Flavors of caramel apples. Sweet finish. rdixon77 (3106) - Georgia, USA - JUL 11, 2016
Really nice apple beer. Bottle from brewery. Yeasty and appley aroma. The taste is close to a real apple cider, minus the spices. Plenty sweet though. Tasty gephross100 (943) - Bellaire, Texas, USA - JUN 21, 2016

Bottle shared by ippopotamo36 (thanks Alberto!). Pours amber with a minimal head. Aroma of apple, cinnamon, amaretto, maple syrup. Flavour is very sweet, unbalanced, rough. Light body, light carbonation. Not my cup of tea.

A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity apple pulp with light mineral notes, light flower perfume, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet cider like offering with Apple pulp, light mineral notes, light chalky character, refreshing. On tap at Cajun Café spring beer fest 2016. thomashall (1249) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - MAR 26, 2016

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 7/21/2015. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big balanced sweet/tart apples, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light cinnamon/spice, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, apples, and light earthy hop/spice notes; with great strength. Taste of big balanced sweet/tart apples, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light cinnamon/spice, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tartness and light herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of sweet/tart apple, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light cinnamon/spice, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, apples, and light earthy hop/spice notes; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from the apple acidity as well. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/acidic, and slightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a fantastic fruit beer. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, apples, and light earthy hop/spice flavors; and very smooth and refreshing to drink. A highly enjoyable offering. 12 oz bottle Straight outta ’consin. New Glarus Thumbprint Series Apple Ale is a apple juice (right?) slightly hazy brew with a fine head of white bubbles. Nose is ripe real apple aroma without fake sugar. Taste is pretty much apple. like natural sweet apple, not fake candy apple. Like a gala or Fuji. Body is thinner and a bit lively. What that beverage with the annoying apple beaning people commercials should be. jbuzz (841) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 21, 2015
Labeled as apple ale.... Best new glaraus beer I have had. Not so candy apple or overly sweet.
