UPDATED: SEP 30, 2013 Aroma is pine, citrus and grassy hops. The flavor is grapefruit, fruit//berries, mild sweetness, hop resin, malts and a grassy/bitter finish. Well crafted IIPAs this good are not a dime a dozen. bhiner41 (192) - Darien, Illinois, USA - APR 25, 2011
The smell is overpowering grapfruit, almost to the point of just peeling the fruit. Appearence is bright gold with a small white head that settles to a white ring around the top. Malty front note with a smooth settle into hop aftertaste. Very balamced and smooth double IPA. Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - SEP 22, 2011
Pours a clear lemon orange with frothy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is a mix of spruce, grass, raisin and a lot of alcohol. Flavor is a mix of sugar (flavor of raisin), bitter spruce, caramel and a lot of alcohol. Body is creamy with active carbonation. DalzAle (2038) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Bottle thanks to GraniteSkunk! Rich dark orange pour, disc of carbonation and an aroma of fresh juicy hops and pine. Flavor is also crisp pine, cat pee and orange citrus with a very light floral and balanced aftertaste. Extremely well done, not a single complaint on this one.

Bought at the Brewery.Nose of grapefruit and malts, 3/4 inch head, taste at first is a citrus punch with a smooth bitter pleasant finish. A really good beer to enjoy. jhp40219 (449) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Pours a golden orange with a nice 2-finger head. Aroma is STRONG and earthy pine and citrus. Taste is a citrus mix of orange, grapefruit, lemon and tangerine with a slightly bitter but easy finish. Hops are strong, but far from overpowering. Top notch! Lemke10 (987) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a clear, light amber color with a thin head that leaves some slight lacing around the glass. The scent is oh so strong with dry, bitter hops with a little sweet apricot and bread yeast in the mix. Taste starts out strong and crisp really pounding the taste buds. The hops are well mixed with some sweet malts giving it a slight citrus taste that finishes smooth, crisp, and clean. I’m not normally one that likes the really hoppy beers, but this was fantastic. I highly suggest trying this if you can get your hands on it. last1standing (15) - Orland Park, Illinois, USA - JUN 7, 2013

There is so much to like about New Glarus IIPA. It is a lush hop bomb with amazing balance. Pine is most prominent but complexity abounds. Hops are the focus with alcohol and malt adding depth.
