COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A few times a year we cut Dan loose to brew whatever he choose. Always handcrafted, the bottle you hold is brewed for the adventurous soul. This is a very limited edition and we make no promises to ever brew this style again. A provocative 85 IBUs reverberates cleanly through this Double IPA. True hop saturation from kettle boil to dry hop cellaring dominates this elegant and lustful sensory enchantment. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 19.2 Plato, now 9% ABV following the always 100% natural bottle fermentation. Luscious English Maris Otter malt is the essential heart of this voluptuous double IPA. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy now.

Bottle… Hazy golden ale with a small, creamy, fat-bubbled, white head. Spotty lacework. The bouquet presents some crazy, resiny, funky-assed hops – a little pine, toast and biscuit as well. Full-bodied and silky with soft carbonation. Great balance of flavorful, bitter hops and great caramel, bread and toffee sweetness. Bittersweet, grassy finish.

Bottle:   Dull golden, slightly hazy, moderate to large foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Slightly dank hoppy nose.   Assertive hop start, not overly done tho.   Moderate malt base.   Not coming across as complex as I would have thought.   Very much a 1½ IPA.   Its smooth, not unbalanced, has enough malt to carry the hoppiness.   Just needs to be bigger on both hops and malt.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, nice big IPA, but just not as robust/complex/chewy as I like my Imperial IPAs.   Thanks for the bottle Phil!

(12oz bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium dense white head. Aroma of herbs, grass, grapefruit, and pine. Flavor of grass, citrus, herbs, apricot, and caramel with a dry, bitter finish.

Pours a hazed yellow with a white head. Light malty faded hop nose. Pine citrus hop bite upfront that goes to cloyingly sweet malts and pine. Too much malt and alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big hoppy nose, lots of citrus, pretty nice, but there’s also a but of onion and arm put in there too. The taste is moderately sweet, light to moderately bitter, again the hops are a bit strange.. some garlic and onion... other than a bad choice in hops, it’s solid.

12 ounce bottle, poured a yellow/orange color with a white head that left some nice lacing. Had the aroma of the orange, citrus, pine, and sweet malt. This was super fresh so the flavors matched the aroma, and left me wanting more, sadly I only had one bottle.

Bottle at the Casanova Beer Cave festival. Yellow pour with a soapy white head. Sharp citrus and grassy hops - plenty of grapefruit coming through on this one. Quite bitter. Good stuff.

My parents taught me to never take candy from a stranger, but I’m glad they never said anything about beer because it was given to me randomly on Dark Lord Day 2012. The dry hop really comes through, and it’s quite an enjoyable beer. Not my favorite IIPA, but definitely a good surprise.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy golden with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hop and wheat grass. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet citrus hop and light bitter finish. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well, a very good IIPA from New Glarus.
