Picked up while in Madison this is another fine entry in the Unplugged/Thumbprint series. While it is not the best there are certainly less inspiring releases. Buy a four pack so you can drink one now and still have three left to enjoy in the years to come.
Aroma / Appearance - The carbonated base sparkles with a semi-transparent presence that glows. Little head remains once it settles down. Straw, freshly cut hay tramped in the field, and oranges warm the senses. Smelling like a barnyard after a light rain it has a simple but elegant nose.
Flavor / Palate - Straw and hay soften the senses almost immediately. Damp muddy boots carry into a orange citrus finish. A fine mixture of Belgian and American influences this is worth drinking again and again until it finally can’t be found.
Poured from a refrigerated bottle received from weihenheizen. Thanks! Pours a pale yellow with a nice froth of white foam. The aroma is grassy and floral with a mellow sweetness kind of lingering in the background. It has an almost earthy undertone to it. Taste is quite well balanced sweetness and earthy bitterness. I wouldnt mind having this beer again. cubs (10677) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis picked up at Historic Casanova’s. Pours a bit cloudy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Lemon peel, zesty spicy, a bit peppery, barnyard, straw, carbonated aroma. Pretty dry, lemon/tangerine citrusy, a touch funky, barnyard, hay, white pepper, a bit zesty flavor. Easy to drink and pretty tasty. jcnielsen (3413) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Bottle. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Grainy, honey, citrus flavor with a dry, lingering finish. Very nice saison. XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - SEP 14, 2012
Some citrus and a little sour funk. Pours an amber like golden color with not much head. Taste is a big time citrus, with a very nice lemon tart sour like flavor. Just started to enjoy sours and saisons.

Pours golden and hazy. Great aroma of wheat, citrus and spice. Pepper in the flavor as well as some belgian funk. Dry and crisp. Got this from Josh on his trip back from WI. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - SEP 13, 2012
12oz bottle. Rating #60. Hazy dark gold pour with a little orange and a nice white head. Nice fruity aroma, a little bubblegum and a very light spice, very nice. Nice flavor, lightly sweet, more fruit and a little dry. Very good stuff. (2494) DasBierChef (1083) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 12, 2012
A nice saison by normal standards, but honestly a bit of a let down for new Glarus islay (2867) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 11, 2012
12 oz. bottle, the third of a four-pack that I’ve consumed over the last couple of months. Fresh aroma features apple, white grape juice, sweet cigar, and leather scents. Pours an effervescent, slightly hazy but mostly clear gold. Many small bubbles rise up at a moderate speed. Large amount of long-lasting, thick, uneven, off-white head. Sweet and sharp taste with a dry, minerally finish. Apple cider, lemon, salt, and a touch of vinegar in the flavor. Booze surprisingly noticeable. Medium body. Frothy and silky in the palate. New Glarus Thumbprint Saison is good across the board but not outstanding. Reynolds314 (3470) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 5, 2012
Very Simple no frills saison that is refreshing and lightly hoppy to add a lemon grass type flavor. Drinkable and nice.
