12oz bottle: pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with lots of clove and a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with lots of effervescent carbonation and a light malty sweetness with a healthy dose of peppery clove and yeasty esters before a drier, slightly warming bittersweet finish. Could be a little smoother with finer carbonation. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Yes! Bottle thanks to the awesome Andy and Dennetta. Pours orange-tinted mostly clear gold with a white head. Nose shows grain, pepper, some banana. On the sweet side for a saison, and certainly more of an American-style saison in my estimation, but one of the best. Lively palate. Super solid. mikem409 (2022) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2012

Aroma of citrus, lemon, pepper, spice, and hops. Dull orange in color. Taste is crisp with a zest of lemon and citrus up front with a pronounced ginger and sage with a bit of cinnamon. Light and easy on the palate. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2012

12oz bottle pours a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma of well balancend Belgian yeast, sweet grains, and lemon citrus. Taste is crisp and dry grains, hops, and lemon, ending bitter with a nice spice, pepper, and a slight Belgian yeast. Nice Saison! TChrome (1469) - Bedford, Texas, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Beer pours clear golden color with a minimal egg white head that is somewhat retained. Aoma is very estery with some earth and spices. Taste is bitter and lightly sweet with tons of spiciness. Finish is bone dry. I am beginning to consider Dan Carey a brewing god. This man is a genius! Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 27, 2012
your average run of the mill no frills saison. Tasty no doubt but meh, i want to be wowed. tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - AUG 26, 2012
Bottle, courtesy Brigadier, thanks! Pour is bright gold with a good white head, good retention/some lace. Aroma of citrus/floral hops, fruity esters, pepper, straw. Taste is on the sweet side: grass, lemon, dough, pepper, spicy yeast. Palate is soft, effervescent, sweet finish. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 25, 2012
bottle from pantanap. Thanks Kan! It pours a very effervescent light orange color with a tall white head. The aroma is lightly funky and peppery with some dried apricots and grains. The flavor is fruity, very spicy and phenolic with dried fruits, pepper, ginger and a bit of tang near the finish. The body has a lot of carbonation. A solid Saison.
