UPDATED: AUG 27, 2012 12 oz. bottle from a case brought down from Wisconsin by my wife’s aunt- thanks again! Pours a mostly clear, bright golden color with a massive eggshell white head that takes a while to settle down. Aroma of fruits (apples, apricot, citrus), sweet malts, clove, mild peppery spice, and straw. The flavor is really fruity and juicy, with some sweet and pale malts, very mild pepper. Light-medium bodied, with mellow carbonation on the palate and a juicy, somewhat tart mouthfeel. Really nice refreshing saison for the summer. weihenweizen (3826) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Refrigerated bottle poured into a tulip. Pours hazy golden with medium white head that dies down quickly. Nice small bubble lacing, medium body, rocky texture, and spicy yeast aroma. Taste is grains of paradise, spicy yeast, some pepper, and sharp lemon. Lots of flavor, but not my thing. sthlm (790) - Blank, Alabama, USA - AUG 24, 2012
[Bottle] Pours hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is orange peel, light doughiness, banana, and I can get the grains of paradise as well. Taste is grains of paradise, alcohol, yeast, a little banana again, and light pepper. Fairly thin, smooth, finish length is pretty good. Overall, a very nice saison. Also, I have had some really bad beers made with grains of paradise, but this was really well done. Strykzone (7357) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Sampled at 4 Hands cellarnight. This is haxy golden and has a white head. A soft nose of lemongrass and nice fruit. It has a funky pale malt first sip. Light zest and the fruit and pale malts grow. Nice. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Appearance: Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a tight cap of white.

Aroma: Magnificent fresh fruit: grapes, pear, apple. Floral too.
Taste: Sharp spicy belgian yeast, ripe honey dew, literally perfume, banana, modest Euro hop spice.
Mouthfeel: High prickly carbonation ,juicy.
Overall: Saisons seem to have a ton of room for interpretation. While I enjoyed the beer for what it was, it was a bit big, sweet and fruity for my personal Saison tastes.
From the bottle. I like this one, and I think I would like it more if it was not for the pepper. The more I have pepper and spices in beer the less I like them. Love the lemon zest, but pepper takes away in my opinion. Solid brew still. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle; Pour is murky golden with a mild mannered fine bubbled white head in this glass. Lemongrass, spice notes, and some mild funk, I suppose. This brew is a big disappointment for me - It begins light bitter, barley malts, more spice notes with more pepper - lemon grass is present - but the finish is weak , the belgian side is average - it’s not a great example thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle via Kevin Butler. Pours a golden yellow orange with white head that dissipates quickly. Belgian aroma with some clove and banana with some pepper. Taste is again, Belgian which this seems to be the quintessential "saison". Not my favorite but not at all a bad take on the style. portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle. Pours amber with subtle floaties and a nice white tight soapy head that fades to a thin film. Aroma has good yeast and bread notes with some pepper and some noticeable hops. Taste is all of the above with a good lemon zest and pepper hop bitterness, and a very nice farmhouse finish. Palate is slick and shows good carbonation with a drying finish. Very solid Saison. rxeight (3083) - Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2012 Glowing golden color. Very faint aroma. Typical for a saison. Banana, spice, clove.
