COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison, the original Farmhouse Ale, was the refreshing invention of thirsty Belgian farmers. Wisconsin pale barleys brewed with Grains of Paradise in this bright new copper hued ale. Deceptively approachable, its complicated fermentation incorporates a blend of three Belgian yeast strains and is fully bottle conditioned. Fresh hops snap with lemon zest and peppery ginger notes, lending to its enigmatic personality. Enjoy, as this sassy Wisconsin Saison is at its best thirst quenching drinkability now.

Thanks to iNBe. Sort of like a hefeweizen and a tripel had a baby and it had a little bit of the sour funk. Yeasty and highly carbonated with very fine bubbles. This is nice. Serving: Bottle

Hazed, light golden colored liquid. Tall, off-white head. Lightly sweet, pale, dry malt scents. Mild yeast, touch of cloves, and hints of tropical fruit. Sweet start, with a mild peppery spice bite. Hints of apricots and mango. Seems a bit chunky at times. A golden/saison mix. 7/12

Bottle thanks to Tim. Pours a cloudy yellow with small frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is pepper, Belgian yeast, and grain. Thin mouth, light spice, fruity malt, ginger, light dryness, very good.

Location: Bottle shared at Max and Andy’s Tasting, 2/28/15

Aroma: The aroma is yeast/spice, some funk, and fruity notes present as well
Appearance: It pours a gold color with an off-white colored head on top
Flavor: The flavor comes off pretty similarly, yeast/spice, grass, and some fruity notes
Palate: It is medium bodied, with a pretty nice overall mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This one is pretty good. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Definitely something I enjoyed drinking and would drink again.

Bottle at Pauls 2015 tasting. Pours a light yellow body with white lacing. Mouthfeel is thin and a bit papery with lots of yeast upfront; additional notes of grass, lemon, spice, light fruit, ginger/pepper character and zest.

Pours a cloudy orange from the bottle with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of funky Belgian farmhouse yeast, hints of grass and lemon. Taste is more toward malt, slightly oxidized, not sure how this was treated or how old it is down here in Georgia. Not bad, sure it was better fresh.

Bottle (12 oz). From Rich, thanks! Cloudy golden/orange with a medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is quite fruity with grainy, honeyed sweetness and some spices. Taste is also fruity and grain with spices and moderate sweetness. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Spicy finish. Not bad, but not easily drinkable/quenching and really nothing to crave for. Boring.

Smell is honey and generic saison smell. Taste follows the nose with a pleasant honey note. Good medium to high carbonation with light foam that compliments the honey note.
