Went on the hard hat tour and picked up a six pack of this at the brewery. The only place you’ll find it. It’s worth the trip to New Glarus for this beer!!!

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 1/6/2018. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 9%. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank hops; balanced malts without being sweet/heavy for the ABV; well attenuated. Really hoppy without being aggressive. Definitely Midwest styled stuff. A really enjoyable offering. can8ianben (1611) - State College, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 16, 2017
Lovely! I assumed this brewery was all about the fruit, but apparently they can handle the hops as well. Lovely stuff. nickd717 (5008) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 8, 2017
Bottle from Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI. Great appearance, bright clear copper with a lacy white head. Aroma is very resinous, sticky, with earth, pine, apple of the pine, grapefruit. Flavor is slightly sweet, caramel and pine resin, nicely hopped, pretty bitter on the finish. Fuller mouthfeel, nice carbonation, sticky. Pretty good.

Pours golden with a full white head. The aroma is grapefruit and orange. The taste has a sweet bitterness, mostly grapefruit with some orange, and an aftertaste of grapefruit. Pretty tasty, as you might expect from the good folks at New Glarus Brewing Company jbruner (5603) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - MAY 27, 2017
Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of nice old school hop notes over nice malty base. Taste follows, booze well hidden and impressively drinkable. Good stuff.
