Pours a reddish copper with a good sized light tan head. Nose is apples and spices. Thick viscosity and creamy feel on the palate. Taste is of sweet malts, nutmeg, ginger and caramel with a very light touch of hops. An excellent ale. Pairs well with smoked cheese or salmon. MarinEvelyn (868) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Aroma is very sweet, kind of candy like, cinnamon, bubble gum, malt.
Taste is similar, definitely malt, toffee, spice, caramel. Very nice, complex, and smooth. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 7, 2014
Pours a hazy deep amber color with cream colored head. Sugar, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and some malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with spice. Nice. akoeninger (775) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 11, 2014
Pours clear amber with a good amount of bubbles that produce a lasting off white head. This beer has a strong oak smell with lots of spice. The toffee is there too. Tastes similarly to how it smells, with a stronger toffee presence from the malt. Medium body with a lingering oaky flavor. A very good spiced ale, warming and great for winter. Will definitely get again.

Pours a clear golden orange with thick cream-tinged foam that holds to the beer and glass leaving nice lacing. Aroma is unbuttered popcorn, raisin, alcohol and hint of spice/clove. Flavor is a mix of raisin, caramel, bread, alcohol and vanilla. Palate is creamy with active carbonation to lighten the mouthfeel. Coats the tongue and washes down clean with a hint of alcohol left over.

Appearance is deep golden with a hint of orange, clear, with a thick white head. Aroma is an intense mix of oak, vanilla, citrus, cinnamon, ginger, and caramel. Taste starts with rich caramel and toffee and gives way to a woody, oak flavor with the addition of vanilla, cinnamon, and ginger. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy with a moderate carbonation and a strong alcohol warming. Finishes dry, with a lingering oak and vanilla flavor. beerbaaron (2046) - Arizona, USA - JAN 26, 2014
A beautiful beer... pours a clear, radiant burnt orange. Medium creamy off-white head, lasting with lace. Aroma is noticeably spiced but in moderation and good balance. Enough to make a presence but not to dominate or cloy. Leans towards sweet, but again, very balanced. Some toffee, nutty as well, little fruity, some nice oakiness. Flavor follows right along. The spices are showcased, but at the same time applied very evenly. Medium body. Feels good on the palate. Rounded and smooth with all sorts of little nuances. Soft spiciness. Everything comes together so well. Better than the sum of its parts. Classy.
