COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flemish monks brewed the first Abt. A voluptuous temptress they named for their Monastery Abbot. Belgian Dark Candi Sugar encourages the decadence of rum, raisin dark chocolate and sherry like fruit tones to conspire happily in almost 20˚ Plato. Rich and full bodied this is one to lie down or if you are bold enjoy now, but take your time - linger. This beer cries to be sipped and enjoyed.

Great beer. Needed a lot of age most of the sweetness is gone. This bottle was from 2009. Aroma has a vanilla coke smell.(vanilla and caramel sweetness) taste has a rich caramel and toffee taste and with a strong rummy taste. This rich full mouth feel.

This poured a murky deep dark red to brown color with a small off white head. Aroma was of dark dried fruit, grapes, light dark chocolate and yeast. Flavor was on the sweeter side, again dried figs, some grape character, some light burnt sugar and chocolate, and a bit estery. Nice.

12 ounce bottle pours a brownish red color aromas of light cocoa, caramel and some feint fruit. Flavors follow suit, mostly caramel with a mellow aftertaste of cocoa. Not as boozey as abv sugfests, nice beer overall.

The unplugged series is one Wisconsin people love! Abt is a very dark brown beer with a strong taste. But while it does have a quite bitter taste it does drink rather smooth. Certainly worth a try seeing as they only make it once!

Reddish-brown with minimal head, bubbly. Scent is caramel, dark apple. Taste is sweet, slightly woody caramel. Chocolate tones. Light and smooth. Very nice....tasty.

A - Dark red-brown with a thin finger of frothy tannish head. Fades fairly quickly. S - Dark caramel malts, candi sugars, fig, raisins, other dark fruits, Belgian yeast, clove, spices, and a bit of booze. T - Sweet caramel malts, Belgian candi sugars, fig, plum, raisins, other dark fruits, Belgian yeast, clove, other spices, some booze. M - Full bodied, moderate carbonation. Smooth and a touch thick with a warming and sweet finish. D - Very nice Quad. Great mouthfeel and overall balance. Great example of the style.

Bottle courtesy of Atom. Sweet fruity chocolate and barley malt aroma. Clear chestnut with a small off-white head. Sweet raisin and barley malt, oaky, boozy flavor. Full body.

Bottle. Apple, orange, and chocolate malt aroma. Medium brown with small head. Sweet caramel malt and light alcohol aroma. Lighter body. Not bad but not very complex.

Deep brown beer, semi transparent. Tiny white head. Crispy palate. Sweet malt turning creamy. A little herb and coca cola in the undertone. Finishes smooth with a little vanilla ice cream! An odd concoction of a beer. Not horrible at all but a clunky mixture of disparate flavours.

[4740-20120818] 12floz bottle. Toasted cherry pits and burnt fruit skin aroma. Clear, dark brown amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Boozy toasted caramelized bread grain flavour. Full body. Boozy and huge, not for me. (7/4/6/3/12) 3.2
