Deep brown beer, semi transparent. Tiny white head. Crispy palate. Sweet malt turning creamy. A little herb and coca cola in the undertone. Finishes smooth with a little vanilla ice cream! An odd concoction of a beer. Not horrible at all but a clunky mixture of disparate flavours.
copper brown ... thin tan head ... sweet yeasty dark caramel suger nose ... dark malts ... little licorice ... soft yeasty ... quite sweet ... toffee malts ... ok but not great

12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of dark red fruits, brown sugar, and syrupy caramel malt. Flavour is quite strong, with loads of caramel malt, brown sugar, maple syrup and a Belgian yeasty twang. Kind of light bodied for the style, with a brown sugar and Belgian yeast finish. Decent stuff, but nowhere close to the best quads. chrisv10 (17435) - DENMARK - APR 6, 2013
