Bottle thanks to summer secret santa. Pour has a dark amber color and a ring of white head on the glass. Aroma has some fruit, sweet malt, yeast, and a bit of earth. mouth feel is medium and there is low carbonation. Flavor is so sweet, rich malt, dark fruit, alcohol, and a lingering finish. Smooth, strong and complex. Aged about 5 years. Clear carmel color, vanishing head. Aromatics include raison/plum, peppery or anise spice, a little funkiness aka horse blanket. Iced tea color pour without the ice. Lots of sediment. Thin head. Nose of dark fruit, nutmeg, booze and other spices. Taste is very sweet with tons of dark fruit and sweet malt. Bottle. Pours deep amber with average, frothy white head; decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is belgian yeast, cereal and caramel malt, earthy and floral hops, and light spice. Flavor is malt dominate with light hops and fruit esters; dry finish with a hint of alcohol. Full body, medium carbonation, and high warmth. Bottle shared by CaptainCougar. Pours clear tawny with a medium, fizzy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is cookie, caramel and nutty malt, Belgian yeast and esters with candi sugar and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant, spicy alcohol, light hops and bitterness with fruity esters and a dry finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

Bottle, part of the insane Winnipeg tasting. This one was out of oakbluff’s cellar. Pours clear ruby-tawny, thin off-white head, spotty lacing. Nose is tart red licorice, root beer, funk. Bottle courtesy of Mr. Chipalsa. This one smelled like a good amount of dark fruits, plum, some light vanilla and a touch of alcohol. My notes even say icing...It poured a darker brown with a light khaki head. As far as taste goes there is plenty of dark fruity esters (again, plum and some prune) with a touch of alcohol. Thanks ughsmash. Pours a slightly cloudy peach skin amber with one finger of off white head. Nose is rich and slightly oxidized. Cherry skins and Belgian yeast esters, earthy. Smells like an oude rouge. Light vermouth quality. Flavor is lightly bready with a full and creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol with some cherry skins and sweet esters. 12oz bottle. Sweet cherry and cinamon spice aroma light up the nose. Copper body color with beige head and spotty lacing. Sweet fruity plumb, cherry, spice and thickness of body actually hid some of the alcohol that is somewhat noticable.
