12oz bottle. Don’t ask me why is held on to this, but I did. Pours a hazy, golden amber color with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, honey, maybe a few faint remnants of some citrus hops. Medium on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, more honey, malt, bready, with just a light touch of bitterness at the end. I remember this being excellent fresh. Now it has morphed into a mediocre barleywine. SudsMcDuff (8428) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - FEB 16, 2012
120z bottle from chimney .. . pours a hazy gold .. medium foam, great lacing .. . tidy finish from young at ajax, 1-0 .. . mellow stuff .. light on the hops, the abv is tame too .. . decent but probably a different beast when fresh .. . . daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 13, 2012
time to re-educate you dunce-bags. We’ll start with US presidents. This was our first president, George Washington. Let’s review. Who was our first president?
a pickle jar?
Hazy yellow-gold pour, off white head. Aroma is malt forward, some dank hops, brown sugar, cookies. Flavor is lightly hoppy, cake, bread, brown sugar. 2005 and it holds up this well? Damn. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Bottle pours orange-copper with a dense, creamy eggshell head. Aroma explodes with dank hops, showing notes of grapefruit pith, pine resin, pineapple, florals, and a touch of catty funk. Flavor shows the same with additional light caramel notes as well as an underlying herbal quality. Overall body is moderate and the finish is moderately bitter. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Thanks to GhostFace for this one as a bonus. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Nose is great amount of malt followed by a quick hop wallop. I get a bit of pine followed by some honey and orange. Flavor has all manner of citrus, once the pine begins to fade. I get orange, apricot, and bits of peach with some honey. Light to medium in body with lingering sweet citrus in the finish.

Nice copper pour with a thick white head. Aroma is citrusy hops with a malty background. Flavor is in your face huge citrus hops, but mellowed with the malts. Fantastic stuff! I need more of this!

Tasted at Dstructo/Daknole tasting. Not sure who brought this one. Floral hoppy aroma with a nice malt backing in the flavor. Hints of citrus and grapefruit in the flavor as well. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUN 20, 2011
Bottle, as pictured. Was somewhat letdown by this one, surprisingly. Not as hoppy as I was expecting. Poured pretty much a clean gold with a bit of a head. Smelled and tasted as expected, hops, some citrus. Just not as much bite as I wanted. Not their best. piscator34 (2529) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 6, 2011
Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Light orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of papaya, white pepper, and mild citrus. Green hops on the palate, with more tropical fruit, booze, and dry pale malt. Assertive bitterness and light bodied. Definitely in the same ballpark as some west coast IIPAs, but with a different hop profile. A bit hot for my taste, but still good. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 13, 2011
The Dan Journal #465. Tasted 5/5/11. 12oz bottle. Pours hazy with a golden honey hue. Moldy, lacing off-white head. Aromas of soapy hops and grapefruit with a touch ginger and a doughy mild malt note. Medium to full bodied with muted malts and candied hops. A bitter palate, but rounded out with sweet hoppy undertones. Tangy and tart with tangerine, orange and grapefruit hop flavors. Very well hidden 9%! Subtle graham cracker malty flavors. Very nicely done!
