An unclear red beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma contains notes of marcipan and cherries. While the flavor contains notes powerful notes of fruit and cherries. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2005
Hazy orange coloured with an off white head.
Cloyingly sweet aroma with notes of cherries and marzipan.
Very sweet flavour of cherries and marzipan with light acidic notes. anders37 (26641) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 7, 2008
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish color with a small fast disappearing off-white head. Has a fruity and a little tart cherry aroma with almondy nutty hints. Smooth deep and slightly tart cherry flavor with lots of the flavor comming from the cherry pits, giving it a nice nutty flavor. Has a slightly sweetish malty cherry finish. with a long aftertaste of cherrry pits. A very nice one.

Bottled (thanks heemer77). Hazy reddish orange colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is lots of cherrykernels. Flavour is very nice of cherrykernels as well as some quite sour notes. Yet at the same time very wellbalanced and refreshing thing. omhper (25128) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 21, 2002
Reddish brown. Sweet, full bodied, fresh aroma of sourish cherries, complex. Extremely tasty!

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2009 (Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, reddish with an off-white head. Distinct aroma of sweet cherries and marzipan. Medium body with rich, sweet cherries - thick and almost like cherry sauce. Extremely fruity but definitely needs something to balance the extreme sweetness. Not a bad fruit beer at all, but I simply don’t understand the high ratings on this one. So many much better New Glarus beers around. 100507 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2009
26th June 2008. Intense and mouth watering inuducing beer. The cherry starts really sour but quickly calms down. Fantastic. Travlr (24784) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 8, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2010 Bottle courtesy of, and shared with, sebletitje, a.k.a. Sebastien, a.k.a. SeaBass - merci, mon ami! Purple, thin white head, great lacing. Aroma is pure cherry heaven, fresh and juicy. Taste has slight tartness, only mild sweetness, and massive fruit. Outstanding brew.
