Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely Wisconsin. So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Again thanks to my brother Chris. And like the Raspberry Tart well worth the wait. Dominant cherry aroma. Excellent sour cherry flavor that was the perfect balance of fruitiness and sourness. You could drink this forever. A must try!

Bottle thanks to bgramer. Thanks! Pours dark ruby amber with a big pinkish white head that fades and leaves some lacing. Smell is huge candied cherries and a slight earthy tartness. Taste is similar with a musty candied cherry flavor and a slight tartness. Really delicious fruit beer. Smooth on the palate and easy drinking.

750ml bottle. This one pours a deep red color. Quite a bit of carbonation in this one. Taste is of cherries all around. This one reminded me of a champagne in a way with the amount of carbonation present. Pretty good stuff.

GABF 2006. Light amber with slight haze. Thin white head. Aroma is huge cherries, hints of sweet and sour. Flavor is a great balance of sweet and sour. Cherries dominate. Great blend of flavors.

One dimensional but simply delicious. Sweet and lip-smacking good. Heavy cherry aromas set the tone for a great experience. Wish we could get this California outside of Festivals.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2009 I pt. 9 oz. bottle (2009) in a flute; pours an unclear red bordering on brown, becoming a fiery amber in the light w/ an ephemeral off-white/light pink head; aroma is mostly dominated by sweet cherries and strong marzipan w/ an undertone of bubblegum; flavor is again dominated by the cherries and marzipan, more so by the cherries, which bring in a nice sourness as well; medium-bodied, finishing slightly tart. Tasty beer, but Ive always maintained that its a tad too sweet. One of the better fruit beers out there nonetheless.

Utterly delicious and perfect example of its style. Perfect blending of the cherry with the beer, far superior than the cherry stout by new glarus. Lighter red orange coloring with short head.

Finally got sme of this. Cherries and raspberries with nice complex malt. Fresh tart cherries powered through. Excellent brew.

Appearance: Pours a dark, crimson red with 1 finger head & lots of carbonation. Not bad. Smell: Sour cherry notes with slight sweetness. Nice smelling aroma. Taste: Sourness hits me straight on. Sour cherry with a dry, wood-like quality. Mouthfeel: Heavily carbonated but sourness unrelenting. I would have liked some more sweetness to balance it out.

Effervescent red brown sparkler, smells of beautiful tart cherries, intensely fruity; tastes more like a cherry pie than a malt beverage, but delicious nonetheless. The extremely high carbonation acts to balance the sweetness.
