Utterly delicious and perfect example of its style. Perfect blending of the cherry with the beer, far superior than the cherry stout by new glarus. Lighter red orange coloring with short head. Dougal (130) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 10, 2003
One dimensional but simply delicious. Sweet and lip-smacking good. Heavy cherry aromas set the tone for a great experience. Wish we could get this California outside of Festivals. noompa (130) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2009 I pt. 9 oz. bottle (2009) in a flute; pours an unclear red bordering on brown, becoming a fiery amber in the light w/ an ephemeral off-white/light pink head; aroma is mostly dominated by sweet cherries and strong marzipan w/ an undertone of bubblegum; flavor is again dominated by the cherries and marzipan, more so by the cherries, which bring in a nice sourness as well; medium-bodied, finishing slightly tart. Tasty beer, but I’ve always maintained that its a tad too sweet. One of the better fruit beers out there nonetheless. Broncowaldon (129) - Oceanside, California, USA - MAY 11, 2015
Finally got sme of this. Cherries and raspberries with nice complex malt. Fresh tart cherries powered through. Excellent brew. IEBAILI (128) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 10, 2008
Effervescent red brown sparkler, smells of beautiful tart cherries, intensely fruity; tastes more like a cherry pie than a malt beverage, but delicious nonetheless. The extremely high carbonation acts to balance the sweetness.

Superb seasonal from New Glarus. Pours a cloudy ruby, with a fizzy white head. Fruity aroma. Taste is sweet berries, and a tartness on the back of the throat. Has a bit of spice as well. Light on the palate, very fizzy with a dry finish. Overall, a very enjoyable and drinkable brew from perhaps the most consistent brewer in the midwest. Deep, deep red with a nice pinkish and persistenct head. Intitial sourness takes you by surprise every time you drink it. Sourness sort of converts into a nice metallic (for lack of a better word)tone. Really unique stuff that is a good special occasion pop. Erdinger2003 (127) - West Union, Iowa, USA - JAN 28, 2007
This pours out a cloudy red that looks just wonderful. The smell is slightly tart, reminds me of cherry cobbler. The taste is a great sour cherry flavor that sadly leaves the more you drink. The palate was smooth, not heavily carbonated. Overall it was great, I have had 7 or 8 bottles now. BgThang (126) - Texas, USA - MAY 14, 2009
nice fruity beer. The ladies really love this one. It has a lot of fruit going on and some may admit too much. its cherries for damn real. Couldn’t drink more than a few pints of this.

Pours a ruby red with a slightly orange head. Sweet cherry aroma. Taste is sweet, almost medicinal cherry, combined against undertones malt. Dry, very slightly tart finish. Not really my style, but a great fruit beer
