Bottle - thanks to badgerben. Pours hazy orangey-amber with a thin off white head. Nice fresh lager aroma, heavy on the malts, slightly yeasty with citrus notes as well. Flavor is good, sweet, yet with a crisp hop bite on the tongue and cheeks. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad overall - very enjoyable. badgerben (5178) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - NOV 21, 2004
Orange color with no head. Slightly bitter aroma. Grany taste, but not much else there. It’s tasty enough, but there’s really nothing to it. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 16, 2004
Orange Coloring With White Ring. Hops And Grain Flavors...Fruity Aroma... Not Sure What to Think of it, But This is My First Zwickel. Definitly a Decent Brew. jeffin7 (613) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - NOV 11, 2004
Pours orangeish tan with a thin head. Aroma is of slightly grassy/spicey hops and a bit of grainy malt. Flavor is a nice slightly toasty grainy malt and grassy, slightly spicey hops. IndianaRed (4617) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 8, 2004
Bottle Pours a light foggy amber with a very short lived fizzy head. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma is light and yeasty with light bread/biscuit notes. Flavor is like a sweet pilsner. Kind of like honey and toast. Very littel hops. A bit of fruitlike flavors like apricot or peach. Lively carbonation and a pleasant bread like aftertaste.
Thanks to MrFacto

This brew has an amazing sweet malt aroma mixed with some nice floral hops and a faint spicing. Taste is nice and light malted with a good caramelization to the malt. Little hints of honey in the start, with a wheaty/breadiness, followed by some nice subtle floral hopping to balance. Sweetness trails off into the aftertaste, just a really nice drinkable brew. Pours a rich glowing golden color with a stable white head. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - NOV 5, 2004
Light cloudy amber body with aggressive carbonation, medium off-white head. Nice earthy, slightly spicy hops nose with bready yeast notes. Body is quite yeasty/bready and very earthy with leafy hops balance. Hints of lemon sharpen the mouthfeel and lend an acidic quality to the otherwise neutral body. Feels like some Saaz action. I’ve had only a couple beers of this style but it is definitely a unique one. Thanks Matt (MrFacto) for the bottle! davesarman (159) - Waconia, Minnesota, USA - NOV 5, 2004
Fresh, lightly toasted malt nose. Slightly hazy, deep gold color. Medium carbonation with a nice, uneven, off-white head. Soft mouthfeel. Slightly sweet. A bit of hops to dry out the finish. Nicely balanced beer. Clean, unimposing and very drinkable. Another great beer from a great brewery. frylock (1135) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 30, 2004
Semi-sweet malts, apple, and pear in the aroma. Lightly hazy golden brown color with a thin white head. Lightly sweet, some hints of toasted malts, light fruit notes. Mild crisp hop finish . Nice mouth feel. Quite drinkable. Thanks MrFacto Mangino (1027) - Mississippi, USA - OCT 25, 2004
