Bottle. CA brewery number 280. Pours clear reddish copper, medium beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is malty, wheat, caramel, a bit metallic. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, a bit sharp. Medium body. Not bad. hayduke (5742) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 16, 2015
From a 22 oz bottle. Poured Amber with a beige head. Malty nose Medium body. Flavor of malts and some floral hops bitter finish. Good. Fatehunter (2650) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JUN 2, 2015
Pours a thin head on a hazy dark straw body.
The aroma is grain and mild dark fruit.
The taste is mild apricot sweet with lemon bitterness, and some toast. Nice.
The texture is soft and fizzy.
Quite enjoyable. slowrunner77 (13368) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAY 5, 2015
another non-offensive but boring brew. wasn’t an irish red or a hoppy red. kinda weak and muddled. decent maltiness to it, though... batneil (805) - California, USA - NOV 8, 2014
(Sold as Molly American Red Ale) Tasty brew. Copper coloured, not much head but a little bit fizzy. On tap at the brewery.

This beautiful copper colored beer has a sweet caramel malt aroma. It has a really strong roasted malt flavor upfront and lingers letting a subtle sweetness creep in. I am a huge fan!!

Slightly hazy, reddish amber in color... Aroma of bananas, toffee... Flavor is fruity, caramel notes, light wheaty notes... Overly fruity with a kind of bitter finish... Not my favorite

On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy reddish brown with almost no head and a thin wheat aroma. There is a smoky wheat flavor with a dry finish. bhensonb (16122) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Tap at the Yolo Fest. Pours hazy ruddy dark amber with aslight beige head. Malty aroma. Med body or better. Flavor is malty (with mocha?). Something quite different/unique here. Hop is hard to pin down. It’s finishing bitter towards dry. Likely another New Helvetia winner.

Tap at Davis Beer Week B&B Fest. Pours ruddy amber with a creamy beige head. Mild hoppy aroma. Med body. Flavor seems more malty than wheat; hop is a bit spicy. Or maybe there’s a touch of rye. It’s drinking nicely.
