On tap at the brewpub. Pours a black body with a finger-width, creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is smooth, creamy dark chocolates with a bit of a milky sweetness and a balancing roast. Some light citrusy pine notes and a bit of a smoke note as well. Flavor is similar. Smooth roasts, some dark chocolate, and a creamy, lightly milk chocolate sweetness. Some earth towards the end as this finishes dry, roasty, and chocolatey with a light citrus pine note and a light bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid dry stout. Real nice chocolate backing with a solid roast and slight citrusy hopping. Easy drinking and very enjoyable.
