bottle. near black with one finger head. rather sweet with a strong honey undertone. some dark fruit and cocoa, light caramel. it's an interesting take on a porter, and probably not for everyone, but it was a pleasant surprise.

milewide (2304) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 22, 2017
Too sweet! Roast taste and bitterness is lost. Dark brown color with medium head. Little hop contribution.

3.5
vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 19, 2017
It pours dark reddish brown with a beige head. The aroma has smooth roasted malt, honey, ice cream malt and malt balls. Or has a medium body with modest carbonation. The taste adds some licorice, alcohol and astringency. Decent.

quikjo (3) - - SEP 17, 2017 does not count
This beer pours well with a nice dark color like any good porter should. Flavor is unique not quite a porter and yet not quite anything else. It is a creaper beer you will feel it later. I drank a 4 pack and am pretty toasty. Overall is smooth and honestly an amazing fall beer to have. Try it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2.9
crossovert (13747) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 17, 2017
355ml bottle. Dark brown pour. Aroma is smoky booze. Smells boozy and dry. FLavor is a touch metallic, sweetish, mimics an actual baltic porter but not sure if that is a good thing, tastes very eastern euro.

3.7
SG111 (1980) - New York, USA - SEP 3, 2017
Tap at the Knickerbocker, GR. Pours light black, tan head. Aroma is light chocolate, roasted malt, sweet. Thin. Flavor follows but with honey added. True to the style though. Does have that lager-y feel. Tasty although forgettable.
