3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle. Pours a muddy brown with a decent head and lacing. Too over-carbonated for my tastes and takes away from the overall experience and flavour. Decent use of cherries, but a bit too much specialty malt is involved. Odd funk character with some acidity and green apple. Very ordinary and a bit “off”.
Big thanks to Tom to bringing this to The Sour Share. Pours an amber with small creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, cherry skin, and caramel. Medium mouth tart cherry, light funk, oak, very complex, really enjoyed this one. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This bottled brew from the first beer at rbsg poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent copper brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The nice aroma was citrus malty and sour. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of sour and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. brokensail (16660) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 28, 2011

A: Good thing I wasn’t pointing the bottle at anyone as the cork exploded out of the bottle as soon as I took the cage off. Pours a dark amber color with a couple finger’s of khaki head.
S: An interesting aroma to this beer. Quite a strong vinegar presence along with a lot of oak which gives the beer a strong vanilla note. Some chocolate, strangely, and a bit of dark fruits. Some alcohol notes as well.
T: Dark fruits such as cherries and currants are prominent on the flavor and are really accentuated by the balsamic and red wine vinegar notes. A bit of a grape juice flavor and plenty of oak and vanilla. There is a minerally character to the beer, too.
M: Medium in body with a moderate to high level of carbonation.
D: This beer was really strange/interesting. I liked it for the most part, but it did have some slight harshness at points, particularly the alcohol on the nose.
bottle thanks to northernbrews. poured amber with an off white head. aroma was caramel, sweet, chocolate, and tart. flavor was caramel, sweet, tart, and fruity. light body with high carbonation. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - DEC 27, 2010
Bottle; Steven’s 1st Annual Sour Tasting - Pour is clear copper with amber highlights - Nice off white head on this brew. Light funk, caramel malts, and cherry pits on the nose. Tart cherries, a general funk, sweet breads, vanilla; this was another sour that didn’t stack up to the rest, but was good on its own.

Immense aroma of oak, with light whiskey notes. Clear amber, thin head. Sour woody flavor, light whiskey. Tart malt finish. By far the woodiest sour I’ve ever had.
