On tap. Gave me a pint of it for some reason. Supposed to come in a 12 oz. Oh well. Pours reddish brown with very little head. Aroma of funk, oak, light fruits. Lightly sour. Flavor is oak, light fruitiness, and a little tartness. Might be a gateway drug to sours for other people.

February 26, 2014 - on tap at Valley. Amber pour with some head. Aroma was woody, funky and fruity. Taste was nicely balanced with a woody finish.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Red orange with a thin white ring around the perimeter of the glass. Tart cherries, oak and vanilla. This is a puckeringly sour beer. Lighter body with a sour acidity that clings to the teeth. The bourbon notes were good, but almost too sour.

Draft at Thirsty Monk during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear, deep gold with a creamy, white head. Citric lemon aroma. Light sweet flavor with punchy tartness, lactic twang, tart lemons. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good tart berry finish with lingering lactic funk. Not bad.

Draft in snifter - this was free. Sour and berry with oak barrel. As advertised. Makes me cringe. So why rate it? Just maybe, just maybe this one could have turned me around. But no.

Aroma is fruit, malts, slight mustiness and a hint of blueberries. The flavor is malts, fruit, mild sweetness and a very long and tart blueberry finish. Normally dont care for blueberry ales due to blandness, this one was actually pretty good.

Bottle shared at the Foothills Sexual Chocolate pre-release party. Pours a clear ruby. Nice funk and slight soapiness with plenty of cherry sourness. Barnyard and lactic finish. Slight tang with plenty of tartness. Really nice!

Pours a nice ruby/brown color with a lingering white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is dominated by sour fruit, not picking up any oak or malt aromas. Tatse, like the aroma, is strong with tart fruits, apples, cherries, and pear notes with a slightly oakish finish. Pretty good offering, nice sour funk here.
