pours a nice dark purple color but as it settles its an ugly purple/brown, a light tan head, very watery... smells shockingly good, sour, grapes and oak, a tad sweet and generic but surpassed anything I dreamed for a New Holland Sour... the taste is really sour, its a light pucker that almost robs it of flavor, grapes, oak, the finish is a bit flat, but this isnt bad...

22oz. Bottle poured into a tulip. Notes of wood, dried cherries on the nose. Clear deep ruby red with no head and very minimal lacing. Sour, dark jammy fruits, wood, slight funk, apples. Dry finish. Really good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 2012 bomber, poured to snifters with a clear, mahogany color, a light layer of head foam that quickly diminished to a bubbly ring, and light spots of lacing. The taste was a touch of vanilla and tart cherry. Medium bodied, with soft carbonation, yet some nice prickliness on the tongue, the taste was sour cherry, with tanniny astringency, and faint & fleeting hints of caramel and light grain as graham cracker? The oak prompted a pleasant dryness throughout. Very impressed!

22oz bomber shared by Pineypower! Thanks Dean! Pours a clear amber color with a thin foamy tan head. Aroma of sour fruit, brett, oak, and red wine vinegar. Taste funky sour fruit, oak, red grape skins, and vinegar.

2014 bottle. Pours a very dark red color. A foamy carbonation on the mouthfeel. An immediate candy feel tartness. Flavor dissipates quickly. Very dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Poured a clear ruby color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour, cherry and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Mmm... Awesome blue berry, bourbon-vanilla, oaky tannic aroma. Nice bigger sour taste, satisfyingly sour. Totally clear amber color. Minimal off-white head, no lace. Bigger body. Good, smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Hint of chocolate, some good darker nutty malts, especially in the aftertaste. Very tasty stuff. Awesome long sour complex aromatic aftertaste.

Sample from 2012 bottle (#15) at the Ale Wine & Spirits beer tasting on 10/24/2013: The beer is a cloudy reddish-brown color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Cherry, oak and yeast in the nose. Medium-bodied with a moderately tart black cherry character and notes of earthy malt, oak and slight vinegar. The finish is tart with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
