A new arrival at Churchkey, this was a 750 ml bottle shared with Nahem and company, as well as a DC couple next to me who did not reciprocate :-(( A clear blueish brown color (Im not kidding, Ive never seen a beer this color). Aroma of sour grapefruit and unidentifiable dark fruits. Taste is cranberry, slightly bitter, slightly sour (lacto), with a bitter blueberry finish. Very nice.

Draft at Thirsty Monk during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear, deep gold with a creamy, white head. Citric lemon aroma. Light sweet flavor with punchy tartness, lactic twang, tart lemons. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good tart berry finish with lingering lactic funk. Not bad.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a more or less clear body, reddish dark golden in color and with a thin layer of off-white bubbles. The aroma is berry-ish and sourish, quite straightforward. Blueberries? The flavor is mostly on the berry side, with some vinegar, lemon notes and a touch of malts. Quite dry. Berry finish. Well, not my favorite, its nice, but lacks big time on complexity. 121109

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out balsamic, cherry tartness and light funk - fairly acidic. Flavour is fairly acidic but not too much, with balsamic, cherry tartness and light funk. Balsamic and acidic finish. Nicely constructed. Really good.

Pours dark amber in color with an off-white head. Strong cherry and berry aromas (strawberry and raspberry, mostly) give a nice fruitiness. Otherwise, much of the nose is vinegar. A slight leather component to it. A minimal malt sweetness on the palate. Its, like the nose, mostly vinegar with a bit of oak, leather, and fruit. Pretty simplistic and vinegary--not my favorite kind of sour beer.

Bottle. Pours purplish brown. Tan head. Nose/taste of oak, tart blueberry and wild yeast. Taste also has hints of tobacco, cocoa and lots of sour malt. Medium body.
