COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Since the early 1600's, the Dutch have attempted to breed a pure black tulip. Many have tried and a few have come close...but none have succeeded. Call it the Holy Grail of the tulip world. In honor of this elusive flower we have brewed this special elixir. We have combined the finest Belgian malt, rare European hops, an authentic Belgian yeast and finally, the brew is dusted with tulip petals. The resulting blend is nothing less than magical.

Good tripple version, but too thin, light. Nice head, compact as can be. Some lace. Nice yeastiness, nice aroma, slightly less spice than Corsendonk Pale, which is fine. Quite drinkable actually, and I have no idea what the ABV is. Uh-oh. Through the warmer portion of the bottle and even more impressed. Upped it a bit.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2004 Fruity, floral aroma. Very thin head that dissapears quickly, very clear. Mild yeasty, a bit of plum, some green apple, mild spicy notes, far better than it used to be.
