I reckon I tried this one at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Fest. Pours a deep reddish brown with a good head. The aroma is nutty and spicy along with some booze and stinky maltiness. Draft @ Smallbar Wicker Park, Chicago, IL. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with some yeasty hints. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor. Sample at New Holland. Clear reddish brown pour with a medium beige head. Creamy caramel aroma with some booze and Belgian yeast that has some bready character that tones down the banana. On tap at the Institute in Philly. Transparent ruby amber with a thin white head. Aroma of sticky fruits, pears, candy sugar, Belgian yeast. Flavor is malty, bready, pears, pale candy. Draught at TND: Aroma of malts, light yeast, light chocolate, cocoa, slight caramel, and figs. Poured dark brown/ruby in color with a small, light brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of cocoa, chocolate, malts, light fig, slight roasting, and light caramel. Medium body. Lightly dry, slightly chalky texture.
