COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust in character yet smooth in delivery, Cabin Fever is a roasty brown ale and a hearty, comforting companion for long, mind-bending winters. Its rye, roast and raisin notes play off a subtle caramel sweetness and culminate in a dry finish. Excellent with roasts, stews, caramelized onions and snowfall.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2015 Thanks to Dad. Smells almost like root beer but but you know it really didn’t bother me. It was smooth and creamy and tasty with roasted malt maybe a slick mouth feel. Too much roast and dark to be a brown ale maybe like a porter or something like that. Serving: Bottle

Attractive & creamy! Pours dark brown w/ a head & great lacing. The aroma contains caramel & soft hazelnut. The flavor is nutty, slight caramel, & a bit of bitterness. It has a really nice feel on the palate & is overall a good brown!

Thanks to Dave. Cool black and white drawing on label. Smooth brown ale, leaning to the sweet side. Malty, with a dash of caramel. Average aroma. Not very inspiring imho.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a brown color with a lasting finger’s worth of white foamy head. Sly lace. The aroma had a robust nutty maltiness. Light rye malt, then roast, subtle raisin all blend nicely. The flavor brings together the previously mentioned aromas adding a touch of biscuits and caramel malts. Warming malty aftertaste rolling into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body, almost closer to medium. Somewhat sessionable. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine as projected. Overall, nicely done brown ale that I could have again.

C. Pours a clear brown color with khaki head. Not a big fan of the dry finish.

Mørk rødbrun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter nøtter, karamell, tørket frukt og noe mocca. Middels fylde. Smaker søtlig kandis, brent karamell og lett kakaopulver. Lett bitterhet i avslutningen. Kort.

Bottle. Black. Roasted, soft pillowy smooth. Hints of chocolate, dried dark fruits. Med full bodied, smooth, easy, bit light mid palate. Good balance, nice drinkability. Really liked this. Isnt overly complex, or that complex at all, but just really easy, smoooth, likable.
