Black pour from 12oz bottle at home. Thin ring of white head. Milk, nutmeg, cinnamon and creamy aroma. Taste is about the same. Complex with vanilla and cocoa nib flavors. Fantastic tmoreau (4674) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2017
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co. dispensed to a snifter, displaying a rich, black/brown hue, with tight foam to the layer of brownish tan head, and nice persistence to the ring, film, and curtainy lacing that it left. The nose was dark caramel sweetness, roasted, cocoa, cream, and ready to interact booze. Although the cocoa was still a strong player, dark fruit as raisin & plum, and some treacle took over center stage in the taste, introduced by immediate warmth. Full bodied, with soft carbonation, the flavor also offered some subtle creaminess to the mouthfeel, slight tanginess, and modest earthy & roasted bitterness. An exceptional brew to sip & savor.
