bottled. Pours a very dark brown w/ copper accents yet really looks stout-ish. Nose is weak but of sweet malt. First few sips are really complex but this soon breaks down to sweet malts w/ vanilla & alcohol profile. Almost has a milk stout quality, & very hard to believe this was barrel aged, but wow! Very smooth; plain & simple.
Very very very very very very very very very very very very stout with an abv of 11. A little sickly sweet but relatively smooth

Pours a dark, dark brown with brown-red edges and gives up a moderate tan head with plenty of lace. Nose is bourbon and chocolate with hints of oak. Falls on the sweet side of imperial stouts, strong veins of milk chocolate backed up by black cherry, molasses, anise, and raisin, leading to a bourbon-soaked back end that mixes bitter cocoa, vanilla, and plenty of wood. The booze and fruitiness grow a bit cloy as the pint warms, though, and the bitterness becomes almost medicinal in its lingering presence. Texture's thin and fizzy for an impy stout, but the alcohol is almost completely hidden so we'll let the weak body slide. Not bad, but ultimately too sweet for me, without much complexity beyond the bourbon and chocolate. cattaneopapa (417) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2017
650ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an opaque deep brown colour with one finger of lasting head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, toffee and a hint of bourbon. Taste matches the aroma with caramel backbone with a mildly dry finish. Full bodied with a creamy and sticky texture. Medium carbonation. High alcohol content well concealed. Excellent Imperial Stout. Clarkdvm (527) - Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2017 Draft at Brass Tap in Fl. Damn good bourbon barrel beer. Can't say tasted like a stout but who cares. balloonbuffoon (535) - - OCT 10, 2017
Draft pour appearing basically black with a small glistening brown head. Rich brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon soaked oak notes are present in the nose and tasted. Thick in body, yet smooth feeling for a beer of this magnitude. Very satisfying as a 2nd tier BA stout.

Bottle from World Market. Super deep ruby to black in color. Roasty sweet nose with some bourbon. Strong bourbon up front with roasty malts. Some wood and vanilla as well. Thick mouthfeel. Very barrel flavored. The stout portion is in the background. Firestar (4) - - SEP 21, 2017 does not count
I like bourbon and I like beer, this is a beautiful mix of the two. Smooth and flavorful. It is not overpowering with taste but you certainly know what you are drinking. Nicely crafted.

Pure black pour with a brown head. A very creamy and milky flavour, aptly named, imperial milk stout. Mixture of bourbon and caramel in the finish, yum. batneil (755) - - SEP 9, 2017
Powerful stuff. Strong-smelling, near black pour. There's definitely a hint of the bourbon. Slightly fizzy - fizzier than most stouts - but without a whole lot of head. Johnstledger8 (1270) - Dublin, IRELAND - SEP 8, 2017
Bottle. Pitch black with a quickly fading light beige foamy head. Aroma is of dark fruits, chocolate, liquorice, figs, biscuit. Taste is of dark chocolate, figs, dark fruits, liquorice, vanilla, caramel. Sticky oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
