COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dragon’s Milk is a 17th century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.

Bottled 10.14.16. Poured 12.07.16. A: Fudge, cola, and nuttiness. A: Dark red body with a lot of see through lighter red in the glass. Creamy tan head with thin lacing. T: Follows the nose with lots of red grape, pear, and some roastiness that mixes nicely on the back end with nutty oak flavors. P: Very astringent and thin for a BBA stout. O: It looks, tastes, and feels way more like a barleywine than anything. After searching around, some seem to categorize it also as a strong or old ale. It is a surprise, but a pleasant, if fruity, one.

A beer that just looks powerful, with a very dark brown, almost black color, and light tan head. Aroma has a bit of dark fruits among other things. Flavor is very good, bringing in some chocolate and coffee flavors. Has a somewhat creamy smoothness as well. Really a very excellent brew.

Bottle from Nikki’s. Pours out jet black with a lacy tan head. Strong sweet boozy oak aromas. Roasty malts, chocolate and rich sweet vanilla oak flavors. Slight bit of cherry and spice. Quite tasty and very chewy.

Bottled. Pours deep brown nearly black with a small taan head. Aroma of roasted malt, whiskey notes, vanilla, coffee licorice notes and chocolate. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry, slightly bitter with some alcohol. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Impy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dark brown/black color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of toasted sweet malt, vanilla, licorice, & some bourbon; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, caramel/syrup, vanilla, hops, chocolate, and licorice; Warm finish; A little over the top - but decent overall.

Barreras (1605) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - NOV 25, 2016
Pours a dark brown color with a bourbon and alcohol soaked malt aroma. Taste is dry, bourbon and plum flavor with a boozy aftertaste. The barrel aging is very evident in this beer, overpowering any roasted malt flavor.

Pours dark cola brown with a small white wisp that quickly disappears. Aroma is sweet bourbon, raisins, plums. Taste is a little hot even though this sat for a couple of years. But it was smooth, nice purple fruit, raisin, oak. Great beer, glad I have a second.

Bottle from beer store in Raleigh. Taste reminds me of a tamed down burbon county. Licorice, vanilla, cinnamon and dark rich chocolate. Really nicely made.

Pours dark/black with quickly dissipating carbonation. Faint aroma of whiskey with the same pallet. Very nice beer

BB log, Bottle pours pitch black with tiny brown head and not a whole lot of lacing. Smell is coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate but its pretty light. Flavor is more pronounced with licorice, dark chocolate, espresso bean and malt. Body is medium. Pretty solid beer from New Holland
