Bottle. Pours orange amber with a big foamy off-white head. Interesting aroma with grassy funky notes, some floral sweetness. Not a particularly funky or dry flavor, this one just didn’t pack a lot of punch for me. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - JUL 26, 2011
Bomber: Aroma has got a nice hop texture, yeasty, orange, and a light spice note. Appearance is a cloudy orange with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is like a hoppy belgian ale, somewhat dry on the aftertaste. Medium to light mouthfeel. Overall, Decent stuff I would drink this one again. 22 oz bottle, pours out a gold copper color with whitish head and an average amount of bubbles. aroma of sourdough, spices, tart acid and a bit of earthy green hops. not overly funk, nor overly dry as i might have expected from something labeled "farmhouse" but it maintains enough IPA character that it doesn’t need to be purely wild. certainly a change of pace from the regular mad hatter IPA, but it’s an enjoyable one and would go nicely with shrimp or thanksgiving turkey. alliance100 (1152) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2014

On tap at the Michigan Fall Beer Fest. A nice bit of funkiness. Quite refreshing with a nice tartness.

Slightly hazy honey-gold color with ample head. Green apple, citrus and grassy hops on the nose. Taste - Citrusy & grassy hops, a little fruity, yeasty and floral. Pretty dry and spritzy. This is pretty good but I don’t love it. PapaSkeetSkeet (1010) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Light colored, well-carbonated. The yeast character in this is lovely, with more funk and berries than spice. Unfortunately the hop character is merely ok, slightly bitter, and not very smooth at that . It is well brewed and at it’s best is a light grassy/berry summer treat, but it just doesn’t go where the american hops can. I never new American hops could pair well with a Belgian yeast, though, until I tried Iron Hill Belgian IPA, Stone’s Cali-Belgique doesn’t do it for me either. dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Poured from a bomber into a brandy snifter. 2012 vintage otherwise no bottle date. Pours with a lot of fizzy head but little lacing. Mildly funky, hippy and tart aroma. Mouthfeel is very light with too much carbonation. Taste is lemon, funk, grassy hops, Belgian taste, cedar and clay. You know, this could have been a great beer. Ultimately, it just doesn't have enough flavor. It is kinda like seltzer water flavored like a good beer.

2012 vintage served in a Duvel tulip. Pours a hazy orange yellow with 2 fingers of foamy white head and decent lacing. Aroma is soapy. Lemon, orange, and coriander. Taste is somewhat funky up front. There is lemon, ginger, coriander, orange, and mild barnyard flavors. There is a bitterness in the back that is almost IPA like. Mouthfeel is thin and easy to drink. Overall this is a good summer session beer. fiveacestx (970) - Texas, USA - SEP 11, 2012
Bomber - Clear gold with a sticky foamy head and lacing. Has a yeasty flavor, medium body and a light fruity finish.
