This is a good beer from New Holland. Definitely worth trying. It wont knock your socks off, but it wont disappoint either.

Bomber bottle a few years old. Poured a hazy golden color with an averaged sized head. Citrus, some fruits, and caramel. Yeast in the aromas.

JPDIPSO (6293) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 28, 2016
Amber color with a moderate, thin bubbled head. Yeasty citric scents. Some floral and tropical fruit aromas as well. I like the scent, a mix of a strong golden and an IPA. Fairly biting and thin feel. Pale malts in the front. Light citrus works its way in. Perhaps a bit too dry and bitter in the finish. An enjoyable effort from a brewery I typically find mundane. 5/11

Draught (backlog). Yellowish orange colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is spices, fruits, some herbs, quite sweet malts as well. Flavour is sweet malts, some toffee, a bunch of spices as well as some mild herbal and floral notes.

Draft at New Holland from notes. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus and some tropical fruit notes, mild plus farmhouse funk, pale bready malts, a sneaky spice character, seems a touch thin, light bodied but decent enough.

gripweed57 (2914) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - MAY 22, 2015
22 ounce bottle. 2014 vintage. Hazy Amber orange topped by a massive Rocky beige head. Perfumy tangerine nose is big and yeasty. Tangy bittersweet tangerine malt flavor. Notes of yeast, vanilla, hay and cosmic funk. Bitter citrus hops come through in mid taste. Nicely complex and textured. Dry citrus finish.

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass

Appearance – Served a hazy orange color with a white head. The head faded over a moderate amount of time to leave a lighter level of lacing.

Smell – Standard Belgian style IPA with a good dose of biscuit, banana, and yeast. Mixed with these aromas are lighter aromas of pepper and a grassy like smell.

Taste – The flavor starts out more heavily of citrus and tropical fruit. A somewhat bitter orange and lemon hoppiness are mixed with banana, pineapple and mango. Along with these at the start, is a yeasty taste. As the flavor advances some of the spicy and peppery notes that were detected in the nose come to the tongue. A grassy and pine hop flavor then enter the taste along with a upsergance of the yeasty flavors to in the end leave a bitter yeast cake flavor left on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the light to medium side with the carbonation level being on the higher side. The carbonation is very fitting for the style and very nicely excites the tongue in light of all the bitter flavors.

Overall – Very enjoyable overall with some nice flavor transitions and a good feel.

Foil wrapped, 22oz bottle. Vintage 2013. Orange-amber color, white foam. Hop aroma, floral. Nice bready funk nose. Funk flavor. Barn, grains, & floral hops. Finishes with yeast flavors of barn cobwebs, old hay, loads of herbal hops. Very complex & true to style. Maybe the most layered of all the Hatters I’ve had. (4113)

chucklemation (1774) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JUN 18, 2014
Pours a copper color with a light white head. Has a citrus and hoppy aroma, with a bit of what must be the farmhouse funk. Flavor is citrus, spice, and lots of bitterness. Very good.

hman43 (1812) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Pours with a large, off white head. It has fruity flavors of which it resembles apricot. There are other hops and a sweet, doughy aroma. It is a hazy, orange color. The yeast is predominate in the taste with some earthly and basement flavors. It is excellent on the way down with the complex flavors.
