Hmm... as I opened this an Eminem song popped up on Pandora and the previous rater of this beer got it from a user named Slim Shady. Coincidence? Absolutely. 12 ounce bottle from Sam’s Quik Stop. Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big toasty and caramel malts with peppery and herbal hops. The taste is bitter green and resiny hops with caramel malts. Some honey and toastiness as well. Medium bodied. There’s no best by date on the bottle, so I’m hoping it was old when I bought it. It’s good, but falls short on the wet hop promise. And I’m used to New Holland falling short. crossovert (13414) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2011
12 oz bottle.
It pours a clear copper color with a foamy white head. It sticks for a bit and leaves some nice lacing.
The smell is standard pale ale fair, it isn’t much, a kiss of hops with a big candy/caramel malt presence.
The flavor follows. It is mellow, the hops seem quite vegetal. Low bitterness, low carboantion.
It is an average APA.
