A robust renovation of the India Pale Ale. Assertive dry-hoppying provides an aromatic telltale nose, indicative of the bitter symphony to follow. Bold hop character with lively grapefruit and citrus notes. 20° Plato, Alc. 9.4% by Vol.

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Umeå. BB 02/2016. Murky orange color, small white head. Resiny, "dry yeasty" aroma. Medium-bodied. Resiny, piney, alcoholic, a bit glueish. Heavy.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Pancake head with good retention recedes leaving scant lacing. Sourdough and grapefruit aromas. Soft with sweet pineapple and caramel upfront turning to hot resin and grapefruit before the lasting overripe banana finish. Meh.

on tap @ Hebron BrewHaus / Hebron KY --- Clear deep maple amber color, ivory head that drops to a thick rim, splashes of lace. Taste is malt with mild caramel that scoots through mild carbonation to enough citrus hops to balance. This is good, but seems light for an imperial.

12 oz single bottle (10%) from the Craft Beer Cellar - Fort Collins. Hazy orange appearance with sediment throughout. Aroma of resinous hops, light citrus zest and light grapefruit. Similar flavor, adding caramel malt, light toffee and light butterscotch. Medium to full body with a bitter finish. OK.

Good fruity aroma. Fruity with a little bitter taste. Not so good bitterness that fills the mouth forever. To be so strong it was a little too bitter. But otherwise fine. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Notes from summer. Pours a hazy orange. Aroma and taste are caramel, citrus, and pine.

A caramel, malty sweetness starts things out. Nutty, then a bit of citrus zest, fairly full though the finish. Hops are not overpowering, but add a good bitterness. Really balanced and not what I was expecting.

Bottle. A- Caramel, malty. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Pine, caramel, malty, bitter. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, abrasive finish. O- For as much caramel malt base as this seemed to have it sure had a bitter and aggressive body. Not my thing.

Pours a copper amber color. Lots of orange and some syrup on the nose. Clean start with plenty of sweetness that quickly turns to a thicker syrupy/boozy body. Ending is very nice given the abv and increasing intensity in the middle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Sweet pine hop nose and flavor is caramel first then light pine hops. Higher ABV is hidden. Decent DIPA. $3.29 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.
